Key Matchups for Steelers vs. Ravens
Steelers falling apart
Pittsburgh comes into this game against Baltimore at 6-6, but they've lost two straight, three of four games and five of seven. It's not just one issue after they were crushed by the Bills at home last week, 26-7. It got so bad in Pittsburgh that the fans were booing during the rendition of Styx's Renegade, a long-time tradition in the Steel City. The Steelers allowed a season-worst 249 rushing yards to Buffalo, which was a lot more than their season-low 166 yards of total offense.
Aaron Rodgers, who just turned 42 this week, was 10-of-21 for a season-low 117 yards. He's banged up but not listed on the latest injury report despite not practicing on Wednesday. He has a left wrist injury and a broken nose, but will likely play this week. Rodgers is completing 65.2% of his passes for 2,086 yards with 19 TDs and seven picks. RB Jaylen Warren leads the team with 639 rushing yards and four TDs. WR DK Metcalf is the top target with 45 catches for 605 yards and nine TDs.
The Steelers rank 27th in total yards per game (281.7ypg) and 24th in passing yards (187.8). Defensively, even though they were terrible against the run last week, they are average against the run, allowing 117.7 yards per game (17th).
Ravens give game away against Bengals
Cincinnati deserves credit for that win last Thursday night, 32-14, but the Ravens had four fumbles and one interception that led to their demise. Baltimore has another banged-up quarterback in Lamar Jackson (knee/ankle/hamstring/toe), who missed practice again this week with an ankle injury. The Ravens are trying to give the 28-year-old two-time MVP some rest, but it isn't helping. He was 17 of 32 for 246 yards and no TD with one pick against one of the worst defenses in the NFL. Hd didn't get a lot of help as the TE Isaiah Likely fumbled at the goal line after a long run after the catch. The touchdown would have given the Ravens a 14-6 lead in the second quarter with the successful extra point.
Baltimore didn't recover from that or the Jackson INT or two fumbles in the pocket. Jackson has not been the same quarterback since missing three games due to a lower leg injury. He's completing 64.8% of his passes for 1,841 yards with 15 TDs and four INTs, while rushing for 264 yards and a TD. Jackson's inability to run has taken a toll on a formerly dominant running attack, which is just good, led by Derrick Henry, who has 931 yards rushing and 10 TDS (4.7ypc). WR Zay Flower is the top target with 60 catches for 767 yards and just one TD.
Baltimore's defense is allowing 118.4 rushing yards per game (18th) and 232 passing yards (26th).

Steelers vs. Ravens Final Score Prediction
- Baltimore 27-Pittsburgh 24
The Ravens and Steelers are in the same both. Both teams have issues at quarterback and on the defensive side. I'm taking Pittsburgh because the Ravens aren't good enough up front to protect a gimpy Jackson. If he's healthy, he runs all over Pittsburgh and that opens is up for Henry and RB Keaton Mitchell. But Baltimore is stuck in neutral without his elusiveness, and he's taking more sacks than ever. The Steelers and Mike Tomlin need this one just as much, if not more. They still have Metcalf, LB T.J. Watt and some talented players on both sides of the ball who will show up in this rivalry. In terms of the total, both teams could put the ball on the ground and even though the Steelers aren't very explosive, Baltimore may not have top corner Nate Wiggins (foot) and they'll take advantage.
