Bulls Looking for Strong Start to the Season
The Chicago Bulls are looking to take that next step this season and are coming off a 115-111 home win against the Detroit Pistons to begin the season. The Bulls shot the basketball at a good level as they were able to go 39-of-87 (44.8%) from the field, 11-of-30 (36.7%) from distance, and 32 trips to the free-throw line. That was impressive considering they were missing one of their best shooters in Coby White due to a calf injury. Center Nikola Vucevic led the offense in this game, as in 33 minutes he posted 28 points, 14 rebounds, two assists, and one steal. This was a game where the defense stepped up as they allowed the Pistons to post a team shooting split of 44.3/29.2/69.2.
The Chicago Bulls have a roster that did not change too many of their players from last season and have a good collection of role players off the bench to help them out. If they can utilize their rotation as well as they did in the opening game, they could be in the conversation for a playoff spot at the end of the season.

This Magic Moment
The Orlando Magic are coming off a solid 125-121 home win against the Miami Heat to open the season. The team was able to play at a strong level offensively as they finished shooting 42-of-90 (46.7%) from the field, 12-of-30 (40.0%) from beyond the arc, and attempted 35 free throws. Power forward Paolo Banchero was able to lead the way as he finished with 24 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 35 minutes of action. Their defense struggled as Miami shot 44-of-91 (48.4%) overall, 12-of-35 (34.3%) from three, and allowed 27 free throws.
The Orlando Magic were able to make the playoffs last season, but were able to improve their roster by adding a solid shooting guard in shooting guard Desmond Bane to bolster the team. They need a healthy Banchero, Franz Wagner and Jalen Suggs to do some damage in the East.

The Orlando Magic have been able to begin the season on the right foot, and even with the back-to-back this early in the season, they are going to be in a good position to be successful at home. The Magic are home for both games and that helps, and they can have scoring from so many different players throughout the rotation. Chicago is more of a team that has to play through one or two of their bigger players and go off of that. Orlando is the more talented team and should be able to cover the spread and continue looking strong to begin the regular season.

With the ability to score and the defensive aspects not looking too great, that is going to cause some concerns for slowing things down.
