The Avalanche are traveling to New Jersey after their game on Saturday versus the Bruins. Colorado is looking to bounce back after their previous two losses to the Hurricanes and Mammoth as it continues a short two-game road trip before hosting the Devils on Tuesday.
Colorado has been one of the more reliable defenses this season from both a defense and a goaltender perspective. The Avalanche have allowed only 26.00 shots per game this season and their goaltending ranks fifth in save percentage at .918. This, in combination with an impressive penalty kill at 87% (9th) it is not surprising, as the Avalanche rank second in the league in goals allowed. New Jersey is looking to finish a three-game home stand before heading on the road for a lengthy road trip.
