Wild Riding Momentum After Statement Win
Minnesota opened its season with a convincing 5–0 shutout of St. Louis. Ryan Hartman scored twice, while Matt Boldy, Joel Eriksson Ek, and Marco Rossi each added goals. Kirill Kaprizov had three assists, and Filip Gustavsson stopped all 27 shots for his 12th career shutout. The Wild dominated both ends of the ice, converting one of three power plays and killing off all penalties.

Minnesota’s handling of the puck was outstanding, showing that the Wild look to be in mid-season form. With a strong group on attack and one of the league’s most reliable goalies, the Wild could improve from last season’s 45 wins.
