Dallas is 6-3-3 and suffered a 4-3 shootout loss to the Florida Panthers on Saturday after a 2-1 OT loss to the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday. The Stars failed to win a game on their two-game road trip in Florida. In the loss to the Panthers, Dallas was led by Sam Steel, who had three assists, Mikko Rantanen had a goal and an assist, and Wyatt Johnston scored.
Dallas is averaging just 2.6 goals per game (25th), but is solid on the power play, ranking fifth at 28.9%. They also rank 26th in the penalty kill at 71.4% success rate.
The Stars are set to start Jake Oettinger, who's 5-2-2 with a 2.53 GAA and a .913 SV% this season. He's 5-3-1 with a 2.80 GAA and a .907 SV% in his career against Edmonton. Oettinger is 3-1-1 with a 2.21 GAA and a .925 SV% at home this season.
Dallas will be without Jamie Benn and Nils Lundkvist, while Matt Duchene and Roope Hintz are considered day-to-day.
