Kings Continue Losing Streak
The Kings are traveling to St. Louis after another loss in overtime on Saturday versus the Hurricanes, with a final score of 4-3. This is the fourth loss in a row for the Kings as they continue to struggle in generating wins at home. So far this season, the Kings are 0-3 at home and have only generated one win on the season.
The goaltending quality for the Kings has severely dipped since last season. Last season, the Kings relied on their defense as their goal scoring was not up to par as many other teams. To account for this, the Kings would shut down most offenses by taking away shots and having quality goaltending in the net. Last season, the Kings finished second in shots allowed, allowing only 25.5 shots per game. On top of this, Los Angeles was also fifth overall in save percentage at .903. So far this season, we have not seen that same defending as the Kings currently sit 28th in save percentage at .870 and are allowing an average of 29.5 shots per game.
We will likely see Anton Forsberg take the net for the Kings on Tuesday.

Blues Look Unreliable
The Blues are continuing their home stand after a win on Saturday versus the Stars with a final score of 3-1. This is their first win of their four-game homestand which currently has a record of 1-1. The Blues have had issues playing at home this season, as their current home record sits at 1-2.
The offense for the Blues has not looked great to start their season, ranking 22nd in scoring and 24th in power-play percentage at 15.4%. Many teams would be able to combat poor goal scoring with their defense, and the Blues attempted but their goaltending has failed them in that. St. Louis is the second-worst team in save percentage at .858 despite their defense allowing an average of only 25.4 shots per game. With a lack of quality in both the net and offense, we are seeing why the Blues have lost as much as they have.
We are likely to see Jordan Binnington start in the net for the Blues on Tuesday.
Jordan Binnington:
- has a record of 2-1-0 in 4 games with a goals against average of 2.81 and a save percentage of .882 this season.
- was 28-22-5 in 56 games with a goals against average of 2.69 and a save percentage of .900 in 2024-25.
- is 8-8-2 in 18 games with a goals against average of 2.62 and a save percentage of .912 against the Kings in his career.
Injuries:
- Toropchenko RW Day To Day - Upper-body
- Lucic LW Day To Day - Lower-body
- Sundqvist C Out - Lower-body
- Dean C Out - Personal
Kings versus Blues Picks and Prediction
Money Line Pick for Kings v. Blues
- Blues Money Line (-129) (4 units)Β
The Blues have a 5-1-0 record in their last six games versus the Kings at home. The Kings had a record of 8-12-3 as underdogs on the road in 2024-25. The Kingsβ offense is not reliable, as they tend to struggle in finding goals unless they can put up a good amount of shots on net. The Kings are ninth in shots on net at 29.5, but are 24th in shooting percentage at 9.0%. Los Angeles is facing off against a team that thrives in blocking and stopping shots to the net and as a result, we will likely not be able to see the Kings generate many offensive chances. While the Blues themselves do not have too much quality on offense, they are facing a team that struggles on special teams and the Blues will have to take advantage of the poor penalty kill of the Kings to generate goals. While this game will be close, I have to side with the home team to grab a win.
Over/Under Pick for Kings vs. Blues
- Under 5.5 (+100) (4 units)Β
The Blues have an over/under record of 2-7-1 in their last ten games against the Kings. Neither offense has looked great to start this season, so I do not expect much goalscoring from either side. Both goaltenders have struggled to start this season but we are seeing their defenses block and stop shots toward the net. With a reduction in scoring chances and both teams having strong defenses, we should expect to see a low-scoring game.
