Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators Picks and Prediction, Monday November 3, 2025
Use Code SSWC The Western Conference is loaded with talent this season, and on Monday we'll see two tough teams battle it out in our Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators prediction.
The Vancouver Canucks (6-7-0) have very high hopes this season, but with some injury and inconsistency issues early in the year, they've struggled to build momentum through 13 games of the 2025/26 campaign.
On Monday they take on the Nashville Predators (5-6-2), a team that took a major nosedive a year ago, and while they've got some elite talent on this roster, it's unclear if they'll be able to compete in the West this season. Read on to see our Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators prediction.

Can the Canucks find their consistency?
The Vancouver Canucks have the talent to be just as good as any team in the Pacific Division this season, and while they've got a solid 4-4-0 record away from home in 2025/26, they currently sit in sixth place in the division standings. The issue for Vancouver this season has been scoring goals, as they average just 2.54 a game to this point, and with the team ranking in the middle of the pack in the NHL with a 3.15 GAA, it's easy to see why they've struggled for consistency throughout the year.
Offensively, it's been the unlikely duo of Conor Garland (11 points) and Keifer Sherwood (9 points) to lead the way in Vancouver, and if this team can get their top stars going, they have a chance to turn things around after a very slow start. Last time out for the Canucks was a tough loss to the Minnesota Wild, with two goals from Drew O'Connor not enough to get the job done as Thatcher Demko allowed four goals on 26 shots, falling short 5-2 in the process.
Expected starting goaltender: Thatcher Demko (2.41 GAA and a .917 save percentage in eight games).
Can the Predators be competitive in 2025/26?
The Nashville Predators have had some major expectations in recent years, but after taking a step back in 2024/25, they've struggled early in this season, going 4-3-1 at home as they sit under .500 early in the year through 13 games played. Despite having a big star in net, the Predators have struggled defensively this year, allowing a 3.31 GAA to this point, and given that they generate the third-worst mark in the NHL at just 2.46 goals a night, this is a team that's headed towards some major change in the near future.
Early this season, it's the veteran pairing of Ryan O'Reilly and Filip Forsberg, both with nine points, leading the way in Nashville, and given their lack of elite young talent, there's going to be plenty more struggles coming for this team. Last time out for the Predators was a win over the Calgary Flames, with a goal and two assists to Michael Bunting leading them to success as Juuse Saros made an impressive 33 saves as they picked up a much-needed 4-2 win.
Expected starting goaltender: Juuse Saros (2.79 GAA and a .905 save percentage in 11 games).
Vancouver Canucks vs. Nashville Predators picks
Moneyline pick for Canucks vs. Predators
- Nashville -115 (4 units)
In recent times, there's been very little to separate these two teams, with the head-to-head record being 5-5 in their last 10 matchups, with the Predators coming away winners in two of their three matchups last season.
On top of that, the Predators came away victorious in their first meeting in 2025/26, and with momentum behind them on top of a solid win on Saturday, expect Nashville to pick up another win in this meeting.
Over/under pick for Canucks vs. Predators
- Over 5.5 (4 units)
Neither of these teams has been thriving on the defensive end, and while they scored a total of three goals in their first matchup this season, the over is 5-5 in their last 10 head-to-head encounters, meaning anything could happen here.
For the Canucks, the over sits at 6-3-1 in their last 10 overall games, with three or more goals allowed in five of their last six on the road, and for the Predators, the over comes in at 5-5 in their past 10, with a solid 2.5 goals scored per game during that stretch.
Keep it simple, take the over.
