Golden Knights Conclude Road Trip

Vegas concludes its three-game road trip on Tuesday against the Hurricanes. The Golden Knights lost both games in Florida, to the Panthers and the Lightning. Before the road trip, Vegas beat Carolina 4-1 at home on Ocdt. 20. In the loss to Tampa Bay, the Golden Knights were led by William Karlsson, who scored the lone goal.

The Golden Knights are expected to start Akira Schmid as the starting goalie Adin Hill is injured. Schmid is 4-1 with a 2.67 GAA and a .896 Sv% this season. In his career against Carolina, he's 1-0 with a 0.72 GAA and a .971 SV%.

Vegas is without Mark Stone and Noah Hanifin, along with Adin Hill.

Hurricanes Lose to Stars

Carolina ended its road trip with a 3-2 loss to Dallas on Saturday, as the Hurricanes ended their road trip going 4-2 with losses to the Stars and the Vegas Golden Knights. The Hurricanes were led by Jackson Blake and Sebastian Aho, who both scored in the loss to the Stars.

The Hurricanes will start Frederik Andersen, who's 4-1 with a 2.72 GAA and a .901 SV%. In his career against Vegas, he's 5-5 with a 2.79 GAA and a .906 SV%. In the loss to Vegas, Andersen did get the start, allowing 3 goals on 25 shots.

Carolina is without Jaccob Slavin, K'Andre Miller, Shayne Gostisbehere, and Pyotr Kotchekov.

Golden Knights vs. Hurricanes Pick

Money line pick for Golden Knights vs. Hurricanes

  • Hurricanes ML -142 (5 units)

Carolina did lose to Vegas last week, but this is a good spot for the Hurricanes to get back on track. The final road game for a team is always tough, and the Golden Knights have some key injuries. Andersen has been better at home, as has Carolina, as the Hurricanes will start strong after being on the road for six games. Expect the Hurricanes to get out to an early lead and build off it to get a big win here.

Over/Under pick for Golden Knights vs. Hurricanes

  • Under 6.5 goals -130 (4 units)

The under is also a good spot here as Andersen and Schmid should both be solid to limit the offense to help the under cash. Both teams also have some key players injured, which will hinder the offense. Vegas, meanwhile, will likely have some tired legs after being on the road for so long. The game last week between these two teams went under 6.5 goals, so expect that to happen again.
