Use Code SSWC The NHL season has been a rollercoaster ride through two weeks, and on Monday we'll see an intriguing clash between two Canadian teams with our Winnipeg Jets vs. Calgary Flames prediction.
The Winnipeg Jets (4-1-0) have been off to a red-hot start this season, and with the team continuing to get healthy and build momentum, they're hoping to put together a season that results in the Stanley Cup in 2026.
On Monday they battle the Calgary Flames (1-5-0), a team that surprised in 2024/25, but with every single player seemingly regressing thus far this season, they appear set to struggle mightily unless something changes soon. Read on to see our Winnipeg Jets vs. Calgary Flames prediction.

Can the Jets build on their winning streak?
The Winnipeg Jets began the 2025/26 campaign with a loss, but since then, they've won four straight games, going 2-0-0 on the road to start the year as they look to once again claim top spot in the Central Division this season. In five games, the Jets offense has been among the best in the NHL, averaging over four goals per game in that time, and with just four goals allowed in two road games, they've once again struck an incredible balance.
Leading the way for Winnipeg in scoring has been the duo of Mark Schiefele (9) and Kyle Connor (8), who are among the league leaders in points this season, and with two other players at a point-per-game, they've got plenty of depth in this lineup. Last time out for the Jets was a dominant win over the Nashville Predators, with two assists to Jonathan Toews leading three players with two points on the night as Connor Hellebuyck stopped 30 of the 31 shots he saw on the night as they came away winners 4-1.
Expected goaltender: Connor Hellebuyck (2.52 GAA and a .915 save percentage in four games)
Can the Flames save any hope for their season?
Last year, the Calgary Flames got off to a red-hot start to their season, but this year they've struggled mightily, with the team going 0-2-0 on home ice as they now sit 32nd in the entire National Hockey League. Unlike 2024/25, goaltending has been the Flames biggest issue, with the team allowing three or more goals in every game this season, as they rank 30th in the league by allowing 4.17 goals per game through six appearances.
Leading the way for a struggling Calgary team to this point is the duo of Nazem Kadri and Matt Coronato with four and three points each, and until they can find someone to drive some offense, things aren't going to get much better for this team. Last time out for the Flames was a massive loss to the Vegas Golden Knights, with the lone goal to Jonathan Huberdeau not enough to spark the offense as Dustin Wolf allowed five goals on 19 shots as they would eventually fall 6-1 on the road.
Expected goaltender: Dustin Wolf (4.30 GAA and an .854 save percentage in five games played)
Winnipeg Jets vs. Calgary Flames picks
Moneyline pick for Jets vs. Flames
- Winnipeg -150 (5 units)
While the Calgary Flames slow start may not go on like this all season, it's easy to see that they're struggling right now, and with the Winnipeg Jets picking up four straight victories, expect them to continue that dominance on Monday against a team lacking in confidence.
Last season, the Jets picked up two wins in three contests with the Flames, and with one of the best scoring lineups and goaltenders in the NHL, this one could get ugly if the Jets get going early.
Over/under pick for Jets vs. Flames
- Over 6 (4 units)
Simply put, this matchup is all about the Jets offense against the Flames struggling goaltending, and with Calgary allowing four goals in each of their last two games played at home, this could be a time for Winnipeg to feast.
For the Jets, the over sits at 3-2 this season, with the team ranking third in the NHL at 4.2 goals per game, and for the Flames, the over comes in at 4-2 in six games this year, as they have given up three or more in every game played this season.
Keep it simple, take the over.
