Can the Sky end a disappointing year with a big upset?
The Chicago Sky have struggled for a few seasons now, and even after landing some top draft picks in recent years, they couldn't turn it around in 2025, with Angel Reese recently calling out her teammates for their poor performance. That will cost her the first half of this matchup, and with question marks about their future beyond Reese, this team could look incredibly different beyond the 2025 campaign.
Unsurprisingly, Reese has been the leader of this team in 2025, averaging an impressive 15 points and 13 rebounds a night, but with Kamilla Cardoso averaging 14 a game this season, this team appears to have found their two core pieces. Last time out for the Sky was a tough loss to the Indiana Fever, with 18 each to Cardoso and Micheala Onyenwere leading the way, but in the absence of Reese, this team struggled mightily, falling 97-77 despite shooting a fantastic 52% from the field as a team.

Can the Aces remain on track to finish second in the West?
While the Las Vegas Aces hopes of top spot in the Western Conference have been dashed for a while, on the back of a 15-5 record at home this season, they find themselves sitting 0.5 games up on the Phoenix Mercury in the West standings this season. Offensively, the Aces have once again been fantastic in 2025 as they average 83 points a game, but with their opponents still scoring 82 a night, this is a team that needs to find their dominance heading towards the WNBA Playoffs.
One major factor working in Vegas' favor is their superstar A'ja Wilson, who continues to absolutely dominate as she averages 24 and 10 this season, with 17 a night from Jackie Young giving them the 1-2 punch to be a genuine WNBA title contender this season. Last time out for the Aces was their 13th straight win, this time over the WNBA's best team, the Minnesota Lynx, with a. combined 51 from Wilson and Young leading the way as the team shot 55% from the field, rolling to an impressive 97-87 victory.
Chicago Sky vs. Las Vegas Aces Pick
Spread Pick for Chicago Sky vs. Las Vegas Aces
- Las Vegas -17 (5 units)
With Angel Reese set to miss the first half of this game, it makes the Sky's chances that much tougher in this one, with the Las Vegas Aces posting a dominant 9-1 record in their last 10 head-to-head matchups with Chicago.
In that time, the Aces have gone 5-1 in games played in Vegas, and with a tight five-point victory in their lone matchup thus far in 2025, as well as 13 straight wins overall, expect MVP candidate A'ja Wilson and the Aces to roll to their 14th straight victory in this one.
Over/Under Pick for Chicago Sky vs. Las Vegas Aces
- Over 156.5 (4 units)
Both of these teams can thrive on either side of the ball, with the over being 5-5 in their last 10 head-to-head encounters, with 153 total points scored in their first matchup thus far in 2025.
For the Sky, the over sits at 5-5 in their last 10 overall games, with 80 or more points allowed on eight occasions in that span, and for the Aces, the over also comes in at 5-5 in their past 10, as they average a ridiculous 90 points per game in their last six played at home.
Keep it simple, take the over.
