WNBA Picks for October 26, 2026

By: Kim Smith Published 10/26/2026, 12:40 AM ET

The WNBA Finals have turned into a pretty good fight. Atlanta and Golden State are tied 2-2, and Monday's Game 5 at Chase Center could go a long way toward deciding which franchise wins its first championship. Tipoff is scheduled for 8:00 PM ET, with USA Network and Peacock carrying the game.

Golden State stole Game 4 in Atlanta with a 67-62 victory, and now the Valkyries get to play in front of their home crowd. The betting market has Golden State favored by 1.5 points, with the total sitting around 149.5. That number tells you something about how closely matched these teams have become. Atlanta Dream vs. Golden State Valkyries Best Bet

Atlanta had a chance to take control of the Finals on Saturday, but the Dream couldn't get enough offense going in Game 4. Golden State held Atlanta to 62 points, and the Valkyries controlled the game defensively from the opening quarter. That performance was a reminder of what made Golden State so dangerous throughout the regular season. The Valkyries don't need to score 90 points to beat a good team. They're comfortable forcing opponents into a slower, more physical contest.

Atlanta has demonstrated it can score against Golden State, particularly during its explosive Game 3 performance. But the Dream have also struggled when the Valkyries control the pace and limit second-chance opportunities. Golden State has already won three of the four regular-season meetings and postseason games in which its defense has dictated the tempo, and Game 4 showed how uncomfortable Atlanta can become when the offense stops flowing.

The series now returns to San Francisco, where Golden State has been particularly difficult to beat. Atlanta has enough offensive ability to make adjustments, but the Dream need to be considerably more efficient than they were Saturday. The Valkyries have the home-court advantage and the momentum after tying the series on the road.

Best Bet: Golden State Valkyries -1.5 Points (+100 or Better)

I'll lay the small number with Golden State. The Valkyries have been the more dependable defensive team, and Game 4 demonstrated they can limit Atlanta's offense even on the road. Returning home should give Golden State another advantage, particularly if the game stays close in the fourth quarter. The Dream are capable of scoring enough to win, but they've had trouble sustaining their offense when Golden State forces them into half-court possessions.

The concern is Atlanta's ability to respond after a poor shooting performance. The Dream have already shown they can put together a big offensive night in this series, and a couple of early three-pointers could change the complexion of the game. Still, the spread is only 1.5 points, and the Valkyries have the defensive consistency and home-court advantage to justify the selection.

WNBA Best Bet: Golden State Valkyries -1.5 (+100 or Better)

WNBA Best Bet of the Day

Golden State Valkyries -1.5 (+100 or better) is Monday's WNBA Best Bet of the Day. The Valkyries held Atlanta to 62 points in Game 4, regained home-court advantage and now have an opportunity to take their first lead in the championship series.

Atlanta won't make things easy, but Golden State has demonstrated that its defense can change the entire rhythm of this matchup. I'll take the Valkyries to win Game 5 and move within one victory of the championship.

Final Pick: Golden State Valkyries -1.5 (+100 or Better)
