Baltimore Orioles vs. Tampa Bay Rays
MLB Baseball: Tuesday, April 16th 2019 7:10 PM EST TIME
The Baltimore Orioles are looking to take down the best team in the East as they hit the road to take on the Rays. As for the Rays, they are looking to keep their winning streak going.
The Baltimore Orioles might have gotten off to a fast start to the season, but they have really cooled down. Even though they may sit in second in the East, it is only because of how bad the Sox and Yankees are playing. In hindsight, they should be in last with the Toronto Blue Jays. In the past seven games, the Orioles have lost the past five games as I do not see them turning the corner quickly especially with who is on the mound.

That pitcher will be Dylan Bundy who will kick off the Orioles’ three-game series against the Rays in Tampa Bay. Even though he has been a strikeout machine lately, that will not matter as he has also given up 6 runs on 4 homers in the past two starts.
When the Tampa Bay Rays let go of Chris Archer in a surprise trade, a lot of fans and experts were all over the Rays putting them down. However to start this season both Tyler Glasnow and Austin Meadows are making this trade look like a huge win. Speaking of Glasnow, he will be starting this game for the Rays as he has extended his scoreless streak to 16 innings in his previous outing vs. the White Sox. He became just the second pitcher in club history to get the win in three straight starts and allow one run or fewer in each of them.

For the Tampa Bay Rays on the offensive side of things, they come into this game with having a team batting average of .265. They are also averaging near five runs per game.
- Rays are 4-0 in their last 4 during game 1 of a series.
- Rays are 4-1 in their last 5 vs. American League East.
- Rays are 4-1 in their last 5 home games following a road trip of 7 or more days.
- Orioles are 11-40 in their last 51 during game 1 of a series.
- Orioles are 13-52 in their last 65 road games vs. a right-handed starter.
- Orioles are 5-25 in their last 30 games on astroturf.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
The Dylan Bundy show has been awful for the Orioles to start the season and they head into Tampa Bay with a horrible record. The Orioles are 2-12 in the last 14 meetings in Tampa Bay as well as 0-4 in the last 4 meetings.
Prediction: RAYS -1.5
Full-Game Total Pick
Vegas wants you to take the Under as Glasnow has been perfect for this season. However the line is way to low here as the Rays bats have been hot as well. The Rays might even score all eight of these runs. The Over is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings in Tampa Bay as well as 8-0 in Bundys last 8 starts vs. Rays.
