Bellinger leads Dodgers
Despite dropping a game Saturday, the Dodgers bounced back with a 6-5 win over the Brewers on Sunday to win 2 of 3 from Milwaukee. The win raised their record to 15-9, which puts them 2.5 games up on Arizona and San Diego in the NL West. The Dodgers have won 7 of their last 8. As it has been all season, the story of this game was Cody Bellinger. He robbed Christian Yelich of a home ruin in the 8th inning and then hit the game-winning home run in the top of the 9th. “There’s not much Belli can’t do,” teammate Joc Pederson said. “He’s pretty special.” Pederson was pretty special too, going 4 for 5 with 2 home runs and 2 RBIs. Bellinger was 3 for 4 with a home run and 3 RBIs. Clayton Kershaw gave up 2 runs on 3 hits in 6 innings. Kenley Jansen got the win.

After a bad start, the Chicago Cubs have climbed their way back to .500 at 10-10. They have won 7 of their last 10 to pull within 2 games of first place Pittsburgh and St. Louis in the NL Central. Sunday they scored a 2-1 win over the Diamondbacks. The Cubs got a great start out of Tyler Chatwood, who gave up 0 runs and just 2 hits in 6 innings. Pedro Strop came on in the 9th and gave up a Jarrod Dyson home run to tie it at 1-1. But David Bote hit a walk-off RBI single in the bottom of the 9th to win it. Strop got the win. Bote, Javy Baez and Anthony Rizzo each had 2 hits for the Cubs. Bote and Baez had 1 RBI apiece.
After a year, it's safe to say that David Bote knows how to come through in the clutch for the Cubs. More on his latest walk-off hit and what his teammates think of his efforts at @WGNNews. https://t.co/ZQ1Guwd1s2

Take the Cubs at home. This is a good pitching match up between Hamels and Buehler. Hamels has been great this year, undefeated at 3-0. the Cubs are 4-1 in Hamels’ last 5 starts during game 2 of a series and 5-2 in his last 7 home starts. Also, the Cubs are 5-1 in their last 6 games on grass and 4-1 in their last 5 games vs. a right-handed starter. All signs point to Cubs.

Full-Game Total Pick
Take the under. There’s a lot of firepower in these two lineups, but the pitchers have been excellent. I look for Hamels and Buehler to keep this game low-scoring. The under is 4-0 in Hamels’ last 4 home starts vs. a team with a winning record and 7-0 in his last 7 home starts. Further, the under is 5-0 in Buehlers last 5 starts during game 2 of a series and 7-1 in his last 8 starts vs. National League Central.
