The Chicago White Sox will be looking for another win as they host on the Kansas City Royals this Monday. The White Sox are currently 23-29 after losing to the Twins in their last game. Meanwhile, the Royals are 18-34 after beating the Yankees yesterday. Now, both teams will look to improve upon their respective records in this one.
Royals Look For Another Win
The Kansas City Royals entered the 2019 season with the hopes of finishing the season with a winning record. However, the team is projected to win around 70 games this season so it is expected to remain below the .500 mark throughout the majority of the season. So far this season, the team has struggled as it has only won 18 of its first 52 games this season. However, they did manage to avoid getting swept by the New York Yankees over the weekend with an extra innings win yesterday. Although it is really early in the season, the Royals look destined for another season in the AL Central basement.

The Kansas City Royals are led by second baseman Whit Merrifield who was one of the lone bright spots for the team last season. Last season, Merrifield managed to hit 12 home runs along with 60 RBIs. However, he was also tremendous at getting on base last season as he had a .304 batting average. So far this season, he has a .293 batting average along with seven home runs and 27 RBIs. He also enters this game after hitting a game-winning single in the game yesterday.
White Sox Get Swept
The Chicago White Sox entered the 2019 MLB season with hopes of finishing the season somewhere around a .500 record. However, the team is projected to win around 75 games this season so it is expected to remain below that .500 mark throughout the majority of the season. So far this season, the team has won 23 of its first 52 games this season. However, the team did get swept by the Minnesota Twins over the weekend and will be looking to return to its winning ways in this series.
Hi! We're looking for a lost baseball.
It was last seen exploding off José Abreu's bat at 104.9 MPH, any information about where it landed would be a big help. Thanks! pic.twitter.com/WCabNskcun

The Chicago White Sox are led by first baseman Jose Abreu who has struggled a bit last season. Last season, Abreu suffered a massive drop in power as he only hit 22 home runs along with 78 RBIs. This was especially surprising considering the fact that he had at least 100 RBIs in each of the previous four seasons. However, is appears that last year’s struggles have not carried over as Abreu currently has a .263 batting average along with 42 RBIs through the team’s first 52 games.
White Sox are:
- 5-1 last 6 Monday games.
- 4-1 in Nova’s last 5 starts.
- 6-21 last 27 Monday games.
- 3-7 last 10 overall.
- 3-7 last 10 during game 1 of a series.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Although Kansas City won the game yesterday, Chicago is the better of these two teams and it is not even close. Chicago has been able to stay steadily around a .500 record while the Royals are one of the worst teams in the league. Plus, the Royals played an extra innings game yesterday and should be without some key bullpen pieces as a result. Give me the road team in this one.
Prediction: Chicago White Sox
Full-Game Total Pick
Since both of these teams possess below average pitching staffs, I have to lean to the over in this game. Furthermore, both teams have solid lineups that can score at least five runs each so I think that this total is too low. I can see this game being somewhere in the realm of 7-5 so I will recommend the over in this game.
Prediction: Over 10
