Los Angeles Angels vs. Tampa Bay Rays
MLB Baseball: Thursday, June 13th 2019 7:10 PM EST TIME
The Los Angeles Angels are ready to keep their winning streak alive as they head into a nice road trip which will begin in Tampa Bay Thursday night. For the Rays, they will be playing on no rest as they take on the A’s on Wednesday afternoon.
Sweep In Anaheim
The Los Angeles Angels might be 13 games back from the division crown and four games out of the last wild card spot, but seems as if the Angels have already won their own little “World Series” The Angels come into this contest with sweeping the Los Angeles Dodgers out of Anaheim as they were heavy underdogs in both games. Poor Dodgers pitching left the Angels to counter on a lot of early opportunities and never let the Dodgers hold a lead long. Can the Angels now keep this winning streak going along with keeping their pitching performance high?

This will be a HUGE test for the Angels as they send out Tyler Skaggs on Thursday who has been inconsistent, posting a 5.92 ERA over his last seven starts. He gave up six runs over four innings against the A’s in his last outing on Thursday. Skaggs has yet to have a quality start this season.
Cruising Back To The Top
After their four-game losing streak that happened near the end of May, the Tampa Bay Rays are back to their winning ways and are cruising back to the top to take down the first place New York Yankees. The Rays come into this game with winning six of the past eight games prior to their Wednesday clash with the Athletics. One of the reasons why the Rays have been so successful this whole season has been their pitching which has allowed 2.3 runs in the past three games and only 3.27 at home this season. This is a team not to take lightly.
- 1B Yandy Diaz R
- LF Tommy Pham R
- DH A. Meadows L
- RF A. Garcia R
- C T. d’Arnaud R
- SS Willy Adames R
- 2B D. Robertson R
- CF G. Heredia R
- 3B C. Arroyo R
For the Rays, their starting pitcher has yet to be announced as that will surely come into play following the result of their Wednesday contest. As stated above seems as if whoever gets the nod will continue the Rays winning ways. Or will they?
- Rays are 1-4 in their last 5 games on astroturf.
- Rays are 1-4 in their last 5 home games.
- Angels are 6-1 in their last 7 vs. American League East.
- Angels are 4-1 in their last 5 vs. a team with a winning record.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
The safe bet is with the Run Line +1.5 for the Angels, but I’m loving the money line value here. Angels will have a day off before this game and have gotten back to hitting the ball again. In the past four road games, the Angels have allowed 3.1 runs as that will be the key to shutting down the Rays early. Give me the Halos to make it three straight.
Prediction: ANGELS ML / RL +1.5
Full-Game Total Pick
Angels are off a great series sweep as well as pitching well in their last road series. Given that fact as well as the Rays always playing well at home, the Under is a great play here. The Under is 6-2-1 in the last 9 meetings in Tampa Bay as well as 13-5-3 in the last 21 meetings.
