Colorado Rockies vs. Arizona Diamondbacks
MLB Baseball: Wednesday, June 19th 2019 9:40 PM EST TIME
The Colorado Rockies are bouncing back and forth between wins and losses at the moment as they look to get consistent in this road trip as they take on the Arizona Diamondbacks. As for the D-Backs they are coming off a three series road trip resulting in winning one of them.
With the Colorado Rockies already 10 games behind the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West, it is time to aim lower to focus on a more reasonable goal. That would be getting one of the wild card spots as they hold an overall 37-34 record and two games back from the playoffs. As mentioned above, the Rockies have been bouncing series for the past week now as they have yet to win a road series in their last three attempts. However, the starting pitcher for Wednesday could change that tempo very fast.

For the Rockies, they are sending out Jon Gray who has been up and down at Chase Field. Two years ago, he was 2-0 with a 2.77 ERA, 20 strikeouts and one walk. Now he has followed up those excellent starts with having two bad outings which resulted in 1 1/3 innings, seven hits, four runs in the 2017 NL Wild Card Game and four innings, three runs on six hits and three walks on 2018 Opening Day. Can he bounce back?
Ready For Huge Series
The Arizona Diamondbacks are ready for this huge series as they enter it with having the same record and same place in the wild card standings as their rivals Colorado Rockies. Whoever can get the edge this series can surely push themselves away from their rivals. For the Diamondbacks, they are looking to turn the tables here as they have lost four straight games against the Rockies.

Ketel Marte is still in the top 3 at second base on the latest All-Star ballot update, but he, @escobarmaracay and the rest of your #Dbacks still need your help!#VoteDbacks at https://t.co/4SLoL8YiiQ or by Googling their names.

For the D-Backs, they are sending out Zack Greinke who had a no-hitter through six innings in his last start against the Nationals. Grienke could of went the distance but a one-hour rain delay ruined his chances. Now Greinke will look to help the Diamondbacks get a much-needed home win against the Rockies.
- Diamondbacks are 2-5 in Greinkes last 7 starts with 5 days of rest.
- Rockies are 13-3 in Gray’s last 16 Wednesday starts.
- Rockies are 4-1 in Gray’s last 5 starts.
- Rockies are 4-1 in Gray’s last 5 starts on grass.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
I love the value here. The Rockies have been red hot against the D-Backs and Grienke has had a lot of rest between his last start which could hurt him. I’m rolling with the Rockies as they are 5-0 in the last 5 meetings as well as 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in Arizona.
Prediction: ROCKIES ML
Full-Game Total Pick
The only way the Rockies can stay in this game is if they can attack Grienke early. Five players on the Rockies have a .260 batting average or higher against him as the ball will be in place a lot. Take the Over as it is 4-0 in Rockies last 4 on grass and 5-0 in Rockies last 5 vs. National League West.
