The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Take the White Sox. This is an interesting match up between two pitchers who have been very inconsistently. One game they look excellent, the next they get bombed. Duffy got injured in his last outing and had to leave the game so that throws enough uncertainty on him for me to go the other way. The White Sox are due for a win so they’ll get it done and beat the Royals here. The White Sox are 8-3 in the last 11 meetings.
Prediction: Chicago White Sox +130
Full-Game Total Pick
Take the over here. I love the over in this game. Neither one of these pitchers are very good so look for the offenses to control this game. I expect to see a lot of runs in this one. The over is 4-0 in Novas last 4 road starts vs. a team with a losing record and 6-2 in his last 8 starts vs. a team with a losing record. Also, the over is 9-2 in Royals last 11 games vs. a starter with a WHIP greater than 1.30 and 5-2 in Duffys last 7 home starts vs. a team with a losing record.
