Can Ball lead the Lakers to a fourth straight victory?

Lakers defense great in victory against Spurs

Los Angeles jumped out to a 49-38 lead at the half and they remained in control. Brandon Ingram led the Lakers with 26 points on 11-of-21 shooting. Lonzo Ball had 18 points, 10 rebounds, six assists, and four steals. Both teams shot 41 percent from the field. The Lakers out-rebounded the Spurs 47-45 in the contest. Larry Nance Jr. finished with 14 points and 10 rebounds. Kyle Kuzma and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope added 10 points apiece in the win. Mavericks top Hornets

Charlotte shot 51 percent from the field and Dallas shot 47 percent. The Hornets out-rebounded the Mavericks 43-39 in the contest. Dennis Smith Jr. wound up with 15 points and six assists in the win. Dirk Nowitzki added 19 points on 8-of-16 shooting in 23 minutes. The Mavericks had no answer for Kemba Walker who had 41 points on 16-of-28 shooting. Charlotte had 11 turnovers and Dallas committed eight.

The Los Angeles Lakers are:

  • 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win of more than 10 points.
  • 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.
  • 4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games.

The Dallas Mavericks are:

  • 5-15 ATS in their last 20 games vs. a team with a losing straight up record.
  • 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10 vs. NBA Pacific.
  • 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games vs. a team with a winning % below .400.

The Mavericks have the more consistent defense but the Lakers have more talent. Look for Ball and Ingram to lead Los Angeles to a road win.
