Where: Pepsi Center, Denver Colorado
When: Wednesday, February 13, 2019 9:00pm Eastern
We have a National Basketball Association game between two of the Western Conference-best when the Sacramento Kings visit the Pepsi Center for a matchup with the Denver Nuggets. Sacramento is currently tied with the Los Angeles Clippers for the eighth spot in the West and the Nuggets sit alone in second place in the West 2.5 games behind first-place Golden State and a one-game lead over the Oklahoma City Thunder. This is a game that matters.
Kings are in Eighth Place in the West
The Sacramento Kings just won’t go away and now have found themselves in a tie with the Clippers for the eighth spot in the West. They would have to play the Warriors if the season were to begin today, and I doubt the franchise would care, as their last playoff appearance was in 2006. Sacramento has a record this season of 30 wins and 26 losses and still need wins as the Clippers, Lakers, Mavericks and Timberwolves are all in striking distance for the eighth seed.

Sacramento isn’t reporting any injuries for their game with Denver on Wednesday.
The Kings have lost both of their meetings with Denver and are hoping to avoid a season series sweep. Sacramento has a road record of 11 wins and 15 losses and are working on a two-game winning streak.
Buddy Hield leads the Kings in scoring, averaging 20.4 points, 2.3 assists, 5.1 rebounds and 3.4 made triples per game. Hield has exceeded his scoring average in three of his last five games.
Young Nuggets Getting Better Every Day
The Denver Nuggets keep rolling along and they might have remained silent during the trade deadline, but that was only because they didn’t have to do much. Denver has one of the youngest sides in the NBA, and if they are having the kind of success they are enjoying now, what happens when they mature? Denver currently boasts a record of 38 wins and 18 losses and will head into the break as the second seed in the Western Conference. Not bad for a bunch of kids.

Gary Harris is listed as questionable for their game against the Kings. Harris is the Nuggets third-leading scorer and best perimeter defender and has been in and out of the lineup all season.
Denver has the opportunity for a season sweep of the Kings. The Nuggets have a home record of 24 wins and four losses and are working on a one-game winning streak.
Nikola Jokic leads Denver in scoring (20.4), rebounds (10.5), assists (7.8) and steals (1.4) and has exceeded his scoring average in three of the last five games.
Over the last five games, Denver is scoring an average of 110.6 points, grabbing 11 offensive rebounds, 31.6 defensive rebounds and 30.2 assists per game over their last five games.
- Nuggets are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
- Kings are 0-5 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Denver has the chance to close out the first half of the season with a series sweep over the Kings. I think they are able to do this and cover the 9.5 points. Sending the message that there is a difference between the top of the conference and the bottom is something I am sure Denver would like to do, and I am sure Mike Malone would love to crush his former team. I will lay the wood and play the Nuggets on Wednesday.
Prediction: Denver -9.5 Points
Full-Game Total Pick
We have contrasting styles of play as the Kings like to play fast and Denver is one of the slowest sides in the League. So this will be a pace up game for Denver and I think they can handle that. Both sides are in the bottom half of the league in defensive efficiency so I say let it fly young fellas. And I am quite sure they will. When I added everything together, I got 231 points and that might be too low. I will play the over in this game on Wednesday.
Prediction: Over 228.5 Points
