On Sunday afternoon, the Toronto Raptors beat the New York Knicks 132-106. Toronto used a 65-57 first half to take control of the contest. Jonas Valanciunas led the Raptors with 17 points and nine rebounds. Kyle Lowry went for 16 points and seven assists. The Raptors out-rebounded the Knicks 52-37 in the contest. Toronto shot 51 percent from the field and New York shot 46 percent. Serge Ibaka wound up with 14 points and seven rebounds in the win. C.J. Miles added 13 points on 5-of-8 shooting in 18 minutes. Toronto committed 11 turnovers and New York had 10. The Raptors won three of four meetings against New York.
Nets fall to 76ers
The Brooklyn Nets lost 120-97 to the Philadelphia 76ers on Sunday afternoon. Philadelphia used a 12 point lead at the end of the first quarter to take control of the game. D’Angelo Russell led the Nets with 26 points on 4-of-8 from 3-point range. Spencer Dinwiddie went for 13 points and six assists. Philadelphia shot 53 percent from the field and Brooklyn shot 37 percent. The 76ers out-rebounded the Nets 48-42 in the contest. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson wound up with 12 points and six rebounds in 23 minutes. Caris LeVert added 10 points and five assists. The Nets committed 18 turnovers and the 76ers had 10.
