Duke Blue Devils vs. Florida State Seminoles
NCAAB Basketball: Saturday, January 12th 2019 2:00 PM EST TIME
The Duke Blue Devils are ready for another statement game as they enter this game with being the best in the NCCAB as they take on the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday night. Can the Seminoles pull it off? Let’s find out.
Best In the League
The Duke Blue Devils are looking to keep their winning streak going and crown for the NCCAB as they are taking on another top team in the league on Saturday. The Duke Blue Devils are ready for this tough game even though they might have lost their last game in Florida state two seasons ago. Even though they have lost twice in their last four road trips, the Blue Devils are looking great this season as they enter this game with a 13-1 record with being 2-0 in conference play. If there is one area the Devils need to work on, it is starting the game with some fire. They tend to start games rather slow and get lost in the spotlight before they step on the gas. Remember last Saturday when the Blue Devils trailed Clemson 16-15 after 10 minutes? Hopefully, that does not happen again.

Last season when the Duke Blue Devils took on the Florida State Seminoles, it was an offensive explosion. It was a huge victory for the Devils as they took home the 100-93 win and went on to complete more historic feats that season. However, do not expect the same in 2019 as the Blue Devils have the 2nd best defense in the league. The Seminoles defense is not that bad either as they are allowing less than 80 points per game too.
Time For The Upset
The Florida State Seminoles are looking for the upset win as they have had recent wins against the Duke Blue Devils at home in recent years. However, if they are going to win this game, they need to use their size against the Devils and get to the paint fast and soon. If the Seminoles can get that early lead and get the crowd really into it, this will be a game to watch and more importantly bet on. As stated above, they have one of the tallest players in the country with 7-foot-4 senior Christ Koumadje and 6-foot-10 sophomore Mfiondu Kabengele. It is time to use them both and show why they are one of the best defensive teams in the league.

The Florida State Seminoles enter this game with an impressive 13-2 record on the year, but they have lost every game so far in conference play. If they were unable to get those wins in the ACC, that powerful ranking they hold will be going bye bye very soon. The Seminoles do have the advantage in one category as they are 20th in the nation in offensive rebounding percentage and fourth in the conference in offensive rebounds per game.
- Seminoles are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a winning road record.
- Seminoles are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 games overall.
- Seminoles are 1-7-1 ATS in their last 9 home games.
- Seminoles are 1-9 ATS in their last 10 vs. Atlantic Coast.
- Blue Devils are 6-0 ATS in their last 6 Saturday games.
- Blue Devils are 5-0 ATS in their last 5 games following a straight up win.
- Blue Devils are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600.
- Blue Devils are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games following a ATS win.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
The Duke Blue Devils are going to have their biggest win of the season on Saturday as they will take care of the Seminoles with ease. The Seminoles have been awful in conference play as that will not change going up against the best in the league. Give me the nations best team. Never bet against them.
Prediction: DUKE BLUE DEVILS
Full-Game Total Pick
We got the nation’s 2nd best defense and 17th best squaring off on Saturday night. Already the Under is looking juicy and that is the play to do because the Under is 39-19-2 in Seminoles last 60 home games vs. a team with a winning road record as well as Under is 6-2 in the last 8 meetings.
