St. Joe’s meets Duquesne in Atlantic 10 action from Pittsburgh on Saturday night. The Hawks are 0-3 in the Atlantic 10, while the Dukes are 1-1.
Hawks are not flying
St. Joe’s has lost three straight games after winning two straight. They fell to George Mason and George Washington at home, before losing at St. Bonaventure, 73-47 on Wednesday. Lamarr Kimble scored 16 points to lead the Hawks who shot a pitiful 29.1 percent from the floor. and went 5-of-25 (20%) from long distance. The Hawks were also outrebounded by 13 and allowed the Bonnies to shoot 52.7 percent from the floor. The Hawks were never in this one and scored just 12 points in the first half and shot 18 percent from the field.

Duquesne did win four straight games in non-conference play but since a 73-67 loss to Penn State, they have gone 2-2. The Dukes beat Fordham in their last game at home, 66-61 on Wednesday. Eric Williams Jr. led the Dukes with 16 points and 13 rebounds, while Marcus Weathers added 12 points. Duquesne shot 46.8 percent from the field and just 6-of-21 from beyond the arc.
