The Mustangs score an average of 75 points and allow an average of 67 points per game. SMU is shooting 45 percent from the floor, 34 percent from the three-point line and 71 percent from the charity stripe. The Mustangs are averaging 37 rebounds, 15 assists and 11 turnovers per game this season.
- Mustangs are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
- Under is 6-1 in Golden Hurricane last 7 Saturday games.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
I like SMU Saturday night and I don’t mind laying the wood for a team that has an assist to turnover ratio that SMU boasts this season. Tulsa is 2-2 away from Oklahoma and I believe they will suffer a decisive defeat at the hands of SMU. The clincher for me is Tulsa’s negative assist to turnover ratio, and I suspect Tulsa will commit more than theu season average of 15 turnovers against SMU. I’m laying the points and going with SMU.
Prediction: SMU -7 Points
Full-Game Total Pick
I’m not touching this total for all the money in the world. I believe SMU will win this game, but I don’t trust either side much because we have no idea which teams will show up. Will it be the sides that combine for 156 points or the sides allowing a combined 135 points? I dunno, but my guess is the under because of the way Tulsa fails to hang onto the ball and how awful SMU shoots at times from deep. If I had to make a play, I will go under in this one.
Prediction: Under 138 Points
