Zac Seljaas managed 21 points, a season high. Dalton Nixon managed 14 points along with 11 rebounds. The Cougars killed the game with a solid first half in which they scored 51 points and restricted Portland to 30.

The No. 1 basketball college team in the country have had one just minor slip this season, against Michigan. Apart from that, they have been sensational, putting up 19 wins to move to 19-1. They are unbeaten in WCC play after five games too after beating Loyola Marymount 87-62 in their previous game.
Five players had double-digit scoring for Gonzaga, led by Filip Petrusev's 16 points. It was their 22nd consecutive win against Loyola Marymount. It was also Gonzaga's 31st consecutive win in conference play.
