Aggies even in conference play
UC Davis is 1-1 in Big West Conference play with loss at home against UC Riverside, but a win at Long Beach State on Thursday.

Mooney leads the team with 15.1 points per game while Pepper pulls down 5.3 rebounds and Manjon dishes 3.9 assists.
UC Davis averages 71.9 points per game, ranking 169th nationally. The Aggies give up 70.1 points per game, ranking 207th.
Matadors have won four of five
Cal State Northridge have started conference play strong with wins over Long Beach State and UC Riverside to go with a road loss at Cal Poly.
On Thursday, the Matadors made the short trip to Riverside and beat UC Riverside, 80-68. The Matadors led by four at the half and stretched the lead to 12 for the margin of victory.
Lamine Diane scored 36 points and pulled down nine rebounds to lead the Matadors. Terrell Gomez added 17 points and Elijah Harkless scored 11.
Diane averages 28.8 points a game to go with is 10.8 rebounds to lead the Matadors. Darius Brown II averages 4.4 assists.
Cal State Northridge scores 75.1 points per game, ranking 98th nationally. They are also a decent three-point shooting team, making 35.4 percent (86th). The Matadors play terrible defense, however, giving up 80.1 points per game (343rd).
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Diane, the reigning Big West Conference player of the year, was ineligible for the first 12 games of the season and makes Cal State Northridge a different team when he plays. In the Matadors’ one conference loss, Diane was injured and didn’t play. Without Diane, both teams are basically even, but with the 6-foot-7, 205-pound forward the Matadors could challenge for the conference title. Cal State Northridge is 5-2 at home this season, even with Diane missing a good portion of those games.
Take Cal State Northridge
Prediction: Cal State Northridge
Full-Game Total Pick
Cal State Northridge is ranked 98th nationally at 75.1 points per game, with most of those games played without the 28.8 points per game Diane has scored. But he’s not a one-man team as Gomez averages 20.8 points per game and Harkless averages 10.2. UC Davis has a decent offense that should be able to score on the Matadors’ dismal defense.
