Bowling Green Falcons vs. VCU Rams
NCAAB Basketball: Monday, November 12th 2018 7:00 PM EST TIME
The Bowling Green Falcons are looking to start another winning streak on the season as they take on the VCU Rams on Monday night. As for the Rams, they have been rolling all season long as they enter this game as heavy favorites. However, should you side with the public?
Back and Forth
The Bowling Green Falcons had everything lined up to take home the surprise win against St. John University in their recent game but those plans fell short. Looking back in their last game, the team went toe-to-toe this past Friday and would cover the spread, (which is good for all the bettors) but could have helped everyone a bit more with a money line win. The Falcons were unable to get a last shot off as they fell by the final score of 84-80. In the loss, it was all about Big East Player of the Year Shamorie Ponds who dropped 21 points.

With the public siding with the Falcons, are they the right team to bet with on the spread? It is going to come down to Senior forward Demajeo Wiggins who had a slow start to the season. In the loss he only had 12 points and 12 rebounds. He usually averages at least 18 points in the game.
VCU Undefeated Rams
The VCU Rams have yet to lose this season as they have one of the biggest benches in the league. Anyone on the team can shoot as that clearly was the answer in their last game against the Hampton Pirates. Once again forward Marcus Santos-Silva led the Rams with a career-high 16 points on 8-of-9 shooting as he finished the first game with a season-high of 13 points. In the 69-57 win the Rams would move to 2-0 on the season as they now are leading the conference and should be for a long time as they have a defensive minded team.

In the huge win, the Rams would force 17 Pirates’ turnovers and held Hampton to a season-low 30 percent shooting from the field. Speaking of their defense, the Rams would total eight steals and four blocked shots in the game. Going back to my original point of their depth loaded bench, VCU would outgain them by 20 points on the bench.
- Rams are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 Monday games.

- Rams are 1-4-1 ATS in their last 6 games following a straight up win.
- Rams are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.
- Falcons are 7-1 ATS in their last 8 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
- Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
- Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
- Falcons are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
I 100% love the VCU Rams as they have the defensive minded team to control the Falcons. However this line number is way too high for me to side with them. Little betting advice, never bet on the team. Bet on the number. In hindsight the Rams will win the game but not by 8.5 points. However since the public is all over this bet, if it falls below 5 five points, I’m leaning towards the Rams.
Prediction: BOWLING GREEN +8.5
Full-Game Total Pick
The Falcons have had an offensive minded mind the past two games as I do not see that coming to a stop on Monday. Which is why I’m loving the Over as it is 5-1 in Falcons last 6 games vs. a team with a winning % above .600 as well as 5-1 in Falcons last 6 vs. Atlantic 10.
