The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns face off against the much-superior TCU Horned Frogs from the Ed and Rae Schollmaier Arena, Fort Worth on Tuesday night. Both teams are coming into this game on the back of a win. Which team will suffer their first loss of the season?
Ragin' Cajuns stave off McNeeseForm
This season has gone on just two games and the Ragin' Cajuns have already made a statement. A strong one. They have won their first two games on stellar offensive performances, beating Loyola New Orleans and then McNeese.
It was tight, but the Ragin' Cajuns came out on top 85-80. Cedric Russell scored 22 points, while Jalen Johnson had 21 points to add to his seven rebounds and five blocks. Kobe Julien added 15 points to help close out the game late.
So far, it has been all about the offense for the Ragin' Cajuns. They have scored an average of 90 points per game, 41st in the country. Their height has also helped them accumulate 44.5 rebounds per game, 56th nationally.

TCU romp home in season openerSeason opener
The Horned Frogs made a strong, convincing start to their season as they cruised past the Southwestern Pirates 83-62. The Pirates actually stayed in touch in the first half, keeping TCU's lead to 43-38 at the break, but the second half was completely dominated.
Desmond Bane was sensational in the opener, finishing with 26 points, including five made three-pointers. Kevin Samuel had a double-double, 17 points and 12 rebounds. These two are the only returning starters this year. Jaire Grayer scored 13 points, with three three-pointers.
What was said?
"Starting off, of course you've got jitters just being new and everything" Grayer said. "I finally settled in. I wanted to come out and play as hard as I possibly could."

Trends as found on covers.com are: TCU Horned Frogs are:
- 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games following a straight up win.
Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns are:
- 2-5 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.
- 7-19-1 ATS in their last 27 games following a straight up win.
- 1-7 ATS in their last 8 vs. Big 12.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
To cover a spread like 18 points in 40-minute basketball requires a massive mismatch. This is similar, but not quite. TCU are a much better team and they should comfortably win this game outright.
However, the Ragin' Cajuns have already shown their propensity to compete and score repeatedly on the offensive end. They will score more than 65, leaving TCU with plenty of offensive work to cover the spread.
Prediction: Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns +18
Full-Game Total Pick
Both teams have started confidently on the offensive end. The Ragin' Cajuns even average 90 points a game. That average will come down significantly after this game, but in terms of covering this points total, that should make a big difference. Look for a decent offensive score from the Ragin' Cajuns, and a strong statement from TCU, which will eventually take the points total over.
Prediction: Over 151
