The Detroit Mercy Titans make the trip to Laramie to face the Wyoming Cowboys from the Arena-Auditorium on Tuesday night. Both teams are coming into this game on the back of a loss in their previous game. In five combined games, both teams have managed just one win.
Detroit Mercy start with two massive defeatsForm
The Titans have struggled to start the season with any form or fluency. They have lost both games so far by massive margins, first to NC State 84-65, followed by an 87-65 defeat to Clemson in their previous game.
Antoine Davis, who is the son of coach Mike Davis, scored 26 points but was only 6 of 20 from the field, a poor 30% from the floor. It was their second of seven games on the road before they return home for their opener on December 7.
What was said?
“I thought we had some good moments,” Mike Davis said. “We had it at six, but just ran out of gas. Give them credit for being very physical with us and with Antoine. We will learn from this game."

Wyoming in downward spiral with three straight lossesForm
The Cowboys began the season with a quality 54-40 win against Idaho State. However, their season has quickly spiraled downwards thereafter with three straight defeats, including a blowout 86-63 loss to Oregon State in their previous game.
Hunter Maldonado had 18 points for the Cowboys, leading the scoring. AJ Banks scored 10 points. The Cowboys were woeful from distance, finishing with 5 of 24, just above 20% from long range. They did, however, make 18 of their 20 free-throw attempts.
The Cowboys have nothing to boast of offensively. They average just 50.5 points per game, which puts them 423rd in the season. They allow just 62.3 points per game, which is a decent stat for their defensive resume to start the season.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
The Cowboys have suffered three consecutive losses, which means they are already desperate for a win. They certainly have the skill and ability to beat this Detroit Mercy team, but it will come down to execution. The Cowboys will take away some lessons from their previous defeats, especially their most recent shutout loss. I can't see the Titans closing this game out efficiently on the road even if they take a big advantage early in the game.
Prediction: Wyoming -1.5
Full-Game Total Pick
Both teams have struggled offensively. In both their games to date, the Titans have scored 65 points. The Cowboys are around that number offensively over a larger sample size of games. Hence, this could come down to efficiency. It could take some time for both teams to build their accuracy from the floor. In the meantime, the under is a good target.
Prediction: Under 136.5
