San Diego Toreros vs. UC Davis Aggies

Where: The Pavilion, Davis, CA

When: Friday, November 9, 10:00 PM. ET.

The UC Davis Aggies will be trying to bounce back from their season-opening loss to San Francisco when they take on the San Diego Toreros on Friday night.

Toreros Going For Second Consecutive Win

The Toreros kicked off the Sam Scholl era with a dominant win over Weber State in the3ir season-opener and will be trying to make it two straight wins to start the season when they face the Aggies on Friday night.

San Diego got off to a slow start and fell behind by seven points at the half, but they came roaring back in the second half, outscoring the Wildcats 58-34 to get the 83-66 win.

The Toreros finished the game shooting 49.2 percent from the field and 41.2 percent from three-point range. Isaiah Pineiro led the way for San Diego with 25 points, 12 rebounds, and four steals. Isaiah Wright finished with 13 points, six rebounds, and eight assists, while Olin Carter III added 13 points and three assists for the Toreros, who finished the game with four players scoring in double figures.

San Diego turned things around defensively in the second half, holding the Wildcats to 44 percent shooting from the field and 28.6 percent from three-point range. They will need to play with the same type of intensity and avoid another slow start when they play the Aggies.

Aggies Need To Step Up Offensively

The Aggies came out flat in their season-opener and didn’t give themselves much of a chance against San Francisco thanks to a terrible offensive performance.

The team quickly fell behind in the first half after being outscored 46-26 by the Dons. Things didn’t get better for the Aggies in the second half as they finished with 16 points. The Aggies finished the game shooting 27.5 percent from the field and 15.8 percent from three-point range.

UC Davis will try to bounce back from its woeful offensive performance when they play the Toreros, but they will need to do a much better job on the offensive end if they want to avoid starting the season 0-2.

Stefan Gonzalez led the way for UC Davis with eight points and eight rebounds. Garrison Goode finished with eight points and five rebounds, while Matt Neufeld also added eight points for the Aggies, who finished without a player scoring in double figures.

Defensively, the Aggies will also have to do a better job after giving up 76 points to San Francisco.

The Dons finished the game shooting 52.5 percent from the field and 27.3 percent from three-point range. If the Aggies can’t defend better than they did in that game, they won’t have a chance to win this game.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.

Full-Game Side Bet

The Aggies have struggled against the spread, losing six of their last seven home games and seven of their last 10 games against West Coast Conference teams. The Toreros have played well against the spread, winning four of their last five games against Big West opponents and 18 of their last 27 road games.

Prediction: San Diego Toreros

Full-Game Total Pick

The total has gone under in five of San Diego’s last seven games after an ATS win and in six of their last eight Friday games. The total has also gone under in five of UC Davis’ last six home games and in six of their last eight overall.

Prediction: Under

Half-Time Side Pick

The Toreros will win the first half of this game because they looked significantly better in the first half of their season opener, while the Aggies struggled. They also played better defense than the Aggies, giving them the edge.

Prediction: San Diego State Toreros

Half-Time Total Bet

The Toreros will likely score at least 70 points in this game, but the Aggies will probably struggle again, which will keep the first half total under.

Prediction: Under
