Tuesday night college hoops action in the Allen Fieldhouse features a contest between the Wisconsin-Milwaukee Panthers and the Kansas Jayhawks. These teams haven't played each other since the '04-'05 season when the Jayhawks won 73-62. The Panthers lost to Drake and Kansas defeated Colorado last time these two teams took the court. Tip is set for 8:05 PM ET for this showdown.
Panthers Lose Close OneWisconsin-Milwaukee dropped a tough contest against Drake last game 56-53 on a last-second three to give them their second straight loss. Turnovers were an issue for the Panthers as they committed 18 of them and only forced 11 from the Bulldogs. They led at halftime 29-26 but couldn't hold on to the lead through a closely contested second half. DeAndre Abram scored a game-high 12 points to lead Milwaukee in the loss.
Te'Jon Lucas leads the Panthers offense with 15 points,5.3 rebounds and 4.5 assists per game. Darius Roy averages 13.9 points with 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists, Josh Thomas puts up 12 points with five rebounds a night and Abram contributes 10.8 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest. Milwaukee grabs 40 rebounds a game and they shoot 42% from the field with 33.3% from deep. They commit 14.1 turnovers a night and only hit 64.5% of their free throws.
Jayhawks On A RollKansas beat a tough Colorado team 72-58 in their last contest to hand the Buffs their first loss and extend their winning streak to seven. Stout perimeter defense saved the day as they held Colorado to only 7-34 from deep. Ochai Agbaji led the charge with 20 points and 12 rebounds. Devon Dotson had a nice night for the Jayhawks as well, scoring 18 points with six assists.
Dotson leads the Kansas offense with 19.5 points, 4.5 assists and four rebounds per game. Udoka Azubuike contributes 14.8 points with 7.4 rebounds per contest. Agbaji puts up 10.9 points with 4.9 rebounds and Marcus Garrett averages 9.3 points, 4.8 boards and 4.3 assists per game as well. The Jayhawks snag 37.8 rebounds per game and shoot 52% from the field with 36.7% from deep. They commit 14.8 turnovers per game and hit only 65.9% of their free throws.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
I feel as though 26 points are just too many points to lay in this situation. Kansas averages 81.6 points a game but Milwaukee scores 74.7 points a night themselves. The Panthers defense only allows 3.4 more points per game than the Jayhawks and they also haven't lost a game this season by more than six points. Milwaukee scored 110 points earlier this season, albeit in a losing effort, and they have shown the ability to score the ball. Both of these teams have not been the best at ball control, committing around 14 turnovers a game. I feel as though the Jayhawks will be too much of a public play and I love to fade heavy public action. Give me the Panthers to cover this large spread on the road in Allen Fieldhouse.
Prediction: Milwaukee Panthers +26
Full-Game Total Pick
Both of these teams love to play at a fast pace with Milwaukee coming into this game 42nd in the NCAA with 75.9 possessions per game and Kansas coming in 75th with 74.7 possessions per game. The thing that stands out to me most in this game when deciding this total is the amount of turnovers. Neither team has controlled the ball well, with slightly over 14 turnovers a contest a piece. These defenses have combined to hold their opponents to an average of only 131.2 points a game and both of these teams play good defense. These teams have played a combined 15 games listed on the board, and have played to the under in 11 of those contests. I expect that to continue into this game Tuesday night.
Prediction: Under 138
