Drake Bulldogs vs. Milwaukee Panthers
NCAAB: Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 8:00 PM EST
Drake has won their last four games after dropping their lone game on the season. They were throttled in the only game facing a team from a major conference, but Milwaukee is not that and on top of that they have lost their last two games. Drake has lit it up on offense in winning their last two games and on the season, they rank 82md in the nation in ppg.
While Drake has gotten off to a solid start to the season the same cannot be said about Milwaukee. The Panthers have dropped two in a row and they have lost six of their eight games this season. They lost their last game only scoring 51 points while in the previous game they lost giving up 96 points to a ranked Buffalo team. The Panthers only rank 246th in the nation in opponents points per game.
These teams have not met since the 2007 season.
Hot shooting game
In their last game, Drake was at home and they beat North Dakota 95-88 where they had a hot shooting game. They scored 50 points in the 2nd half and they shot 56.1% from the floor and 52.2% from 3-pt range. The Bulldogs had fewer offensive boards and more turnovers, but their hot shooting notched them the W. Nick McGlynn was one of four Drake starters that went for double figures leading the team with 23 points and also had seven rebounds and while G Nick Norton was only 5/14 from the floor he had a triple-double with 18 points, 17 assists, and 13 rebounds.
What a game from Nick Norton! First triple-double for the Bulldogs since 1989, most assists in a triple-double in the entire NCAA since 2010-11. pic.twitter.com/OTmn4HbiZq

Norton (15.2 ppg) and McGlynn (15 ppg) are two of the three players for the Bulldogs that are averaging in double figures for the season. Norton has scored 18 points in each of his last two games and McGlynn has scored 23 points in each of his last two games and has two double-doubles in his last four games.
Good defense, bad offense
In their last game in the consolation game of the Basketball Hall of Fame Belfast Classic, Milwaukee lost to Stephen F. Austin 66-51 where they played solid D, but the offense was not there. The Panthers were outscored by 11 points in the first half and for the game, they held Stephen F. Austin to only 39.7% shooting, but they only shot 32.8% from the field and were ice cold from deep only hitting four of their 23 3-pointers. No players for the Panthers scored in double figures in the game and Wil Sessoms was one of three players to go four nine points and he also had seven rebounds.
Darius Roy would like to have the bad loss back, as he averages 14.4 ppg on the season, but in the last game scored two points on 1/7 shooting and also had seven turnovers. Besides Roy the only other player averaging in double figures on the season is Carson Warren-Newsome, who only scored nine points in the last game after going for 26 points in the previous one.
The Milwaukee Panthers are:
- 2-6 ATS in their last 8 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of greater than .600
The Drake Bulldogs are:
- 4-0 ATS in their last 4 games overall
- 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games
- 5-2 ATS in their last 7 games following an ATS win
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Drake has been playing well while Wisconsin is not and the Panthers only scored 51 points in their last game. These teams are not familiar with each other and the first half be a low scoring one, but the Bulldogs will maul the Panthers in the second half. Take Drake to win, as well as cover, in this game on the road getting ready for their big home game facing Iowa State.
Prediction: PICK: Drake
Full-Game Total Pick
Milwaukee only gave up 66 points in their last game, but gave up 96 points in their previous game and Drake lit it up on offense in their last game. The Bulldogs will have a field day facing the suspect defense of the Panthers, which is why the Over is the money pick in this non-conference game.
Prediction: PICK: Over
