Kansas Wildcats vs. TCU Horned Frogs
Where and when: Schollmaier Arena, Fort Worth, Texas, Monday, 9 pm EST
It is now or never for the Kansas Jayhawks and the TCU Horned Frogs as they will meet at Schollmaier Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, on Monday night at 9 pm EST for a huge Big 12 showdown. TCU halted a five game road losing streak in their last outing versus a solid Iowa State Cyclones squad as a quick start offensively from the Horned Frogs proved to be the difference. Of course, forcing 15 turnovers while also receiving a huge lift off the bench by Kendric Davis with 22 points were also instrumental in TCU winning two-straight.
On the other hand, Kansas was also able to get back on the winning track with a victory over the Oklahoma State Cowboys. The Jayhawks pulled away in the second half of this contest as Dedric Lawson put in yet another solid performance with 25 points along with 7 rebounds in addition to 5 assists. Lawson has scored at least 20 points in four of the last six games for Kansas.
Davis leads way for Horned Frogs victory over Cyclones
TCU extend its winning streak to two games as they were able to rely on 53% shooting along with a masterful performance off the bench from Davis in pumping in 22 points in the win. Also, Desmond Bane along with Alex Robinson chipped in 17 points each as well. Bane (16 ppg, 5 reb) is shooting 49% from the field along with 38% from three-point range while guard Robinson (13 ppg, 7 ass), after a rough stretch of outings, has scored in double-digits in his last three games while also coming off a 10 points, 11 assists performance in a win versus the Oklahoma State Cowboys.

After such a promising start to the season, however, the Horned Frogs have taken a huge slide during conference play lately, as they have slid to the seventh place slot within the Big 12. However, they seek to extend the momentum up picking up two straight wins while evening the series with the Jayhawks for the season with a victory on Monday night. It will be important to mention that TCU has played six of their last ten games on the road, to where they went 1-5. However, the Horned Frogs are winners of four straight home games during this time to where their defense did not allow over 67 points in either victory.
Lawson continues tear in win over Cowboys
Lawson went 10-17 from the floor in their much-needed victory over the Cowboys as the team shot 50% from the floor. The Jayhawks also came alive from behind the arc as they connected on eleven three-pointers for the game with Ochai Agbaji contributing five long balls to the cause. Agbaji (10 ppg, 5 reb) has certainly increased his production lately as he posted 20 points or more in two of the most recent four games for the Jayhawks.
Kansas has simply been average in their last ten games in winning just six of these outings. And while they continue to rank 14th in the nation, a rough patch of outings to end the month of January finds Kansas in fourth place within the Big 12. Fortunately for the Jayhawks, they picked up a nine-point victory over the Horned Frogs on January 9th.
.@DSmoove1_2many posted a game-high 25 points, 18 of which came in the second half, while @youngoch connected on a career-high five 3-pointers to help us to a 17th-straight victory in Lawrence #KUbball

Most importantly, there is a chance for them to string together some victories moving forward with upcoming matchups versus three of the cellar teams from the conference in West Virginia, Oklahoma, along with Oklahoma State. Of course, these games will be sandwiched in between mathups with Kansas along with a what continues to be a solid squad in Iowa State.
- TCU is 9-2 ATS in their last 11 home games
- Over is 6-2 in TCU last 8 Mon. games
- TCU is 13-6 ATS in their last 19 games overall.
- KU is 2-6 ATS in their last 8 games overall
- Under is 35-16-1 in KU last 52 road games

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
While TCU will be looking to erect themselves within the conference with a victory, the Jayhawks are looking to string together wins moving forward without one of their stars in Legerald Vick (personal issues). In other words, Kansas will be looking to prove that their squad can be just as dangerous in the absence of Vick. It is for this reason that the Jayhawks will look to take the ball to the rim often while pushing the pace whenever possible to catch the Horned Frogs on its heels throughout this contest. In all, expect the Jayhawks to show and prove in an all-important conference matchup on Monday.
Prediction: Pick: Kansas Jayhawks
Full-Game Total Pick
Three of the last four road games for the Jayhawks have resulted in the under while two of the last three home games fell on the under for TCU. Both defenses, despite having a few setback recently, continue to allow just 42% shooting, or less, to opponents on the season. With that being the case, look for the trends to continue in this contest versus teams who have dug themselves a huge hole, yet, will rely on their defenses in this matchup in which to set the tone.
Prediction: Pick: Under
