Baylor will host Oklahoma in this one trying to creep closer to the top of the Big 12. The Bears are 6-4 in conference play, which is just two games out of first place. They are coming of f a 70-63 loss to Kansas State. The Sooners have fallen out of the conference race with a 3-8 record. They suffered their fourth straight loss in their previous game to Texas Tech.
Baylor Drops Important Game
Baylor went into their last game against Kansas State looking to tie the Wildcats in the standings. They were just a game out, but their deficit doubled after this one. Baylor trailed by just two at halftime, but Kansas State was able to extend their lead and hold on in the second half. Baylor finished 9-26 from the three-point line and 40.4% overall. Devonte Bandoo led three Bears’ in double-figures with 15 points. The Bears are one of the teams that can dethrone Kansas in the Big 12. To accomplish that feat, Baylor cannot afford to get tripped up at home against one of the worst teams in the conference.

Makai Mason leads the team with 16.9 points per game. He is the only player averaging in double-figures for the Bears. Mason is questionable for this game with a foot injury, but they should be able to pick up the win even if he is not able to go. Baylor is allowing 64.2 points per game which is 32nd in the nation. They are the Big 12’s highest-scoring team. Baylor is averaging 75.5 points in conference play. They have lost two straight after winning six in a row. Their most impressive wins have come against Texas Tech and Iowa State. Baylor is a dangerous team moving forward and can make some noise in the tournament. Before that, they have other things on their mind as they are still right in the thick of the conference race.
Oklahoma Drops Another
Oklahoma took on their second straight ranked opponent, and suffered another double-digit loss. The Sooners were shut down by the stifling defense of Texas Tech. They trailed 35-24 at halftime, and did not have enough power to climb back in during the final 20 minutes. The Sooners were held to just 36.4% from the field and hit just four three’s. Brady Manek finished with 11 points and 11 rebounds to lead Oklahoma. Christian James had 11 points of his own. Oklahoma is having a season to forget. The Final Four days with Buddy Hield feel like a century ago for Sooner fans.

James is the senior leader on this team and is averaging 16.9 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. The Sooners are scoring just 71.9 points per game on the season. They are the eighth highest scoring team in the Big 12. Oklahoma is shooting just 33.6% from the three-point line, a place where they have found success in recent years. They finished 8-10 in conference play last season and somehow ended up with a spot in the NCAA Tournament. This season, they will no be as lucky given their recent string of failure. They have lost four in a row, and six of eight overall. Heading into this game, they will be looking for revenge, but it will not be an easy task.

Full-Game Side Bet
These two teams met in January, and it ended with Baylor picking up a 30-point win over the Sooners. Baylor has dominated this match up in recent years. They have won eight of the last 10 straight up, and are 7-3 ATS in those games. Three of the last four wins over Oklahoma have come by 23 or more points for the Bears. Overall, Baylor is 14-9-1 ATS this season. Oklahoma is not in the running for anything moving forward while Baylor is still in contention for the Big 12 title. They will be laser focused not to drop this game at home, especially given their recent success against Oklahoma.
Full-Game Total Pick
Combined, these teams have played 26 unders. Five of the last six match ups between Oklahoma and Baylor have gone under. Their previous match up ended with Oklahoma scoring just 47 points. It is assumed that they will be able to put up a higher number in this one, but not that much higher. Neither of these teams score at a high rate. They are both averaging in the low-70’s while allowing in the mid-60’s. Baylor will come away with a lopsided win in this one, but points will be at a minimum.
