Memphis Tigers vs. East Carolina Pirates
NCAAB Basketball: Wednesday, February 13th 2019 7:00 PM EST TIME
The Memphis Tigers are looking to improve on their road record as they hit the road to take on the East Carolina Pirates on Wednesday night. As for the Pirates, they are looking for their 10th win of the season.
The Memphis Tigers are looking to keep their winning streak going as they come into this game with a recent win. The Tigers had an impressive win in their last game as Kyvon Davenport who drop a game-high 26 points as they had a strong second-half comeback to finish off UConn in a 78-71 American Athletic Conference win on Sunday. Now the Tigers head onto the road as they are not the best where they are only winning 15% of their games. They have only won one game on the road compared to their five losses on the road. Leading back to Davenport, this was his first 20-point game for the Tigers since the start of their losings streak.

The Tigers also had some impressive shooters in the win besides their main man as the team had placed three others in double figures. That would by Tyler Harris, Jeremiah Martin and Raynere Thorton who all scored 12 points apiece in the win. The Tigers are also 1-5 covering the spread on the road.
Slow Starting Pirates
The East Carolina Pirates are looking for a way to climb back into the conference as they come into this game with another loss. The East Carolina Pirates have been known for their slow starts as they usually tend to pull a late comeback attempt in the game. That was the case in their last game as the South Florida Bulls would drop 10 of 14 free throws in overtime and beat the Pirates by the final score of 72-68, at the Yuengling Center Sunday. Even though the Pirates played great defense in the final minutes of the game, they continued to make fouls and could not get the Bulls off of the free throw line. The Pirates (9-14, 2-9) held USF without a field goal for the final six minutes of regulation.

The East Carolina Pirates come into this game holding a 9-14 overall record. However, they have gotten eight of those wins at home where they are 8-5 at home this season. On the flip side, they have been a toss up covering the spread as they are 11-12 against the spread this season.
- Pirates are 9-4 ATS in their last 13 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.
- Tigers are 0-5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
- Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 games overall.
- Tigers are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 vs. American Athletic Conference.
- Tigers are 0-4-1 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
I’m going to lean with the East Carolina Pirates in this game here as they have been the much better team at home and the Tigers have been awful on the road this season only covering one game this year.
Full-Game Total Pick
Both of these defenses are flat out average as both teams should be able to score without a problem. The Over is 6-0 in Tigers last 6 road games as well as 5-0 in Tigers last 5 road games vs. a team with a winning home record.
