Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. Northwestern Wildcats
NCAAB Basketball: Wednesday February 13th 2019 7:00 PM EST TIME
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are looking to get out of their recent hole as they continue on the road to take on the Northwestern Wildcats. As for the Cats, they have been impressive at home and are looking for their 13th win.
Where Are The Knights
The Rutgers Scarlet Knights are ready to square-off Wednesday as they are looking to get another conference win on that day. The match-up is the second of three road games over four contests for the Scarlet Knights who are looking to create some history on Wednesday. If they are able to get the win they would have earned two conference road wins for the first time in a season since joining the Big Ten in 2014-15. Can they do it? Well the Knights come into this game off a
99-94, overtime defeat on Saturday at Illinois. This is a young team as their leading scorer in the game as well as on the team is Freshman guard Caleb McConnel who dropped a career-high 25 points on 8-of-10 shooting.

This is a recent new series by the Knights and the Cats as this will be the 13th meeting on Wednesday. However, three games in the series have been played at neutral sites, including an 80-75 Rutgers victory in El Paso on back in 2003. Bad news for the Knights, they are 0-3 on the Wildcats’ home floor.
The Northwestern Wildcats are looking for some momentum right now as they come into this game with a huge loss, but partial win for them in a way. It was a 80-79 defeat at No. 20 Iowa on Sunday evening as the Cats are looking to keep their impressive shooting and rebounding going. In the loss the Wildcats out-rebounded the Hawkeyes 37-26 as anytime they have out-rebounded the other team, they hold an impressive 5-1 record this season. However that one loss being against the Hawkeyes this season. Now the Cats return back to their home court as they are an impressive 9-4 at home this season.
Bringing back the Northwestern Trombone Choir for the anthem tomorrow.

The Wildcats should still feel strongly about the loss as Iowa hit a three-pointer with 0.6 seconds remaining as it stunned the crowd. Wednesday night marks the seventh time in eight games that Rutgers plays a Big Ten foe coming off a league defeat.
- Under is 5-1 in Wildcats last 6 home games vs. a team with a road winning % of less than .400.
- Under is 5-1 in Wildcats last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record.
- Scarlet Knights are 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
- Scarlet Knights are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
- Scarlet Knights are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring more than 90 points in their previous game.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
The Wildcats are going to have a chip on their shoulder as they were so close from hitting that statement win. Now they take on the Knights who are 2-6 ATS in the last 8 meetings. Give me the Cats here.
Full-Game Total Pick
The Wildcats can play some lock down defense as it showed in that Hawkeyes game. Expect another low scoring game as the Under is 5-1 in Wildcats last 6 home games vs. a team with a losing road record as well as 4-1 in Wildcats last 5 home games.
