Louisiana Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (14–6 ATS) at Troy Trojans (10–14 ATS)
Thursday, February 22nd, 2018, Trojan Arena
On Thursday evening, the Sun Belt Conference will send every one of their teams to the floor across six games. Our game, Louisiana Lafayette versus Troy, is set to tip-off at 8:15 P.M ET and will be the second meeting of the year between them. The Ragin’ Cajuns won the first game by 12 points.
ULL Looking At The Big Dance
Louisiana Lafayette is the best team in the Sun Belt Conference through 27 games. They currently sit at 23–4 right now, making them the only team in the conference with 20-plus wins overall. Most recently, the Ragin’ Cajuns have won three consecutive games, including a 21-point win against UT Arlington in their last game.
With all that said, the program has a legit shot at making the NCAA Tournament. They lead the conference in scoring with an astounding 84.8 points per game, while their defense is allowing just 70 per night. Frank Bartley IV is the guy to look out for, coming off 25 points in ULL’s win over UTA.
Per Covers, the Ragin’ Cajuns have a clean slate on the injury front and will have all their guns for Thursday’s game.
Troy Looking To Build Off Hot Streak
Troy, despite a shaky 13–14 record, has really gotten hot lately in Sun Belt play. They’ve won four of their last five games, although their last game was an 11-point loss on the road against Appalachian State.
On the year, Troy has been in the middle of the road on both offense and defense. They don’t really do anything that well but rely more on emotion than anything. So far they are posting 74.2 points per game on offense and allowing 73.1 points per game on defense. Per Covers, the Trojans have the edge in only one of the seven main categories against Louisiana Lafayette (turnovers).
As for Thursday, the Trojans will have all their players available when they try and keep up their hot streak.
- 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 games overall.
- 18-7-1 ATS in their last 26 vs. Sun Belt.
- 7-21-1 ATS in their last 29 Thu. games.
All 12 teams from the Sun Belt Conference will face off on Thursday evening with six games. Our contest, Louisiana Lafayette versus Troy, will feature the best team in the league (ULL) and one of the hottest (Troy).
Betting-wise, the best way to roll is with the Ragin’ Cajuns. They’ve been amazing against the spread recently, mostly because their offense is unstoppable against the Sun Belt defenses. On Thursday, expect another double-digit win by ULL like their first meeting.
