We have the first semifinal of the Pac-12 Tournament to consider when the Colorado Buffaloes take on the Washington Huskies at 9pm eastern. Colorado defeated California and Oregon State and the Huskies knocked off USC by a score of 78-75. This should be a good contest and I’m happy to be previewing this game for you today.
Colorado Storming Through This Event
Colorado is storming through the Pac-12 Tournament; they defeated California to open the event and gave Oregon State a smack on the nose Thursday afternoon, defeating the Beavers by a score of 73-58. Sophomore guard McKinley Wright IV led the Buffaloes with 17 points, five rebounds and four assists and junior guard Shane Gatling chipped in with 15 points and six rebounds. The Buffaloes shot 43 percent from the field, 37.5 percent from the three-point arc and 85 percent from the charity stripe on Thursday against Oregon State.

The Buffaloes aren’t listing any injuries on their injury report for Friday.
Wright leads the Buffaloes in scoring, averaging 13.2 points per game with 4.9 rebounds and 4.8 assists per game this season. McKinley has exceeded his scoring average in both games of this tournament.
Nowell Goes Off Against USC
Washington hung on against a pesky USC side before finally finishing them off by a score of 78-75. Sophomore guard Jaylen Nowell led the way with 24 points, eight rebounds and three assists and senior guard David Crisp had 18 points and six assists to lead the Huskies. Washington shot 48 percent from the field, 46 percent from long distance and just 46 percent from the charity stripe. Washington still has work to do if they want a higher seed in the NCAA Tournament, and that begins Friday against the Buffaloes.

Washington is averaging 78 points per game in this tournament and that is eight points better than their season average of 70 points per game.
- 12-4 ATS last 16 after a SU win.
- 0-4 ATS last 4 in this series.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
All good things must come to an end, and that includes Colorado and their fun run through the first two rounds of this tournament. Colorado is already struggling to score at times and now they are up against one of the best defenses in the country hoping to win this tournament and be awarded a higher seed at the NCAA Tourney beginning next weekend. I like the way Nowell plays basketball and I like Washington on Friday.
Prediction: Washington -1.5
Full-Game Total Pick
I feel like this game is going to be a rout and I think Washington is going to try and make a statement on Friday. And I don’t think Colorado can do much about it. While the Buffaloes below scoring average in this tournament is concerning, I see Washington making up the difference on Friday.
When I did the math and added everything together, I came up with 134 points and thought that was about right. I will play the over on Friday.
Prediction: Over 131 Points
