Saint Francis Red Flash vs. Indiana Hoosiers
NIT Tournament: Tuesday, March 19th 2019 7:00 PM EST TIME
The Saint Francis Red Flash were one game away from reaching the March Madness, but were unable to win their conference tournament. Now they come into this game taking on a Hoosiers team that should have been in the dance.
Red Flash Notes
As stated above, the Red Flash were one game away from entering the dance, but fell to the Fairleigh Dickinson Knights by the final score of 85-76 in the conference tournament. With now their attention heading into the NIT, they are going to need to take down one of the best teams in the tournament as they take on the Hoosiers. Even though they are heavy underdogs, anything can happen as we have all seen within the past decade. The Flash enter this game with winning 11 of their last 14 games as they are looking to improve on the defensive side of things. They are allowing 76.6 points on 46.9 percent shooting per game this season. On the flip side, they are averaging 74.5 points on 42.6 percent shooting per game. A common sense of allowing more points than scoring, it not the best of objectives.

In the past 15 games, the Red Flash have only covered seven of those games as they are also 6-10 on the road this season. The trip to Indiana could be very rough. On the year, the Red Flash are led by Keith Braxton who is averaging 16.2 points and 9.8 rebounds. On the flip side, the next man up for the team is Jamaal King who is averaging 15.4 points and four assists.
A bit of a surprise to see the Indiana Hoosiers here as they had the team and moral to get into the big dance. However, a horrible run in the conference, as well as the tournament, has them battling in the NIT. The Hoosiers come into this game with losing 13 of their last 18 games. They almost made a wild run at the end to state their case as they won four of the past five games, but fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes 79-75 in the second round of the tournament. For the Hoosiers, they enter this game with averaging 71.5 points on 45.9 percent shooting. On the flip side, they are allowing 67.8 points on 42.3 percent shooting. With being heavy favorites for the first time in awhile, a lot of pressure will be on them to see if they deserve any type of championship chance in the NIT.

They will be in front of their home crowd on Tuesday which already gives them the huge edge. They are 13-5 at home this season and have covered in seven of the past ten games. On the season, the Hoosiers are being led by Romeo Langford who is averaging 16.5 points and 2.3 assists. On the flip side, Senior Juwan Morgan is the next man up who is averaging 15 points and 8.3 rebounds.
- Hoosiers are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 home games.
- Hoosiers are 6-1 ATS in their last 7 games overall.
- Hoosiers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
- Red Flash are 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games vs. a team with a winning straight up record.
- Red Flash are 0-4 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
In what has been a wild season for the Hoosiers, they come back home to play in front of their home crowd to cheer them one maybe for the last time. However anytime the Hoosiers play in front of their home crowd, they are one of the best. Give me the Hoosiers.
Full-Game Total Pick
I do expect the Hoosiers to bounce back in this game, however do not expect a hot start and finish from this team. It will take some time which will help hit the Under as it is 4-1 in Hoosiers last 5 non-conference games as well as 10-4 in Hoosiers last 14 home games.
