Central Michigan Chippewas vs. DePaul Blue Demons
Roman College Basketball Invitational: Wednesday, March 20th 2019 8:00 PM EST TIME
The Central Michigan Chippewas were so close from dancing their way into March Madness, however, a trip to the Roman Invitational will not hurt them one bit. They take on the DePaul Blue Demons on Wednesday night.
The Central Michigan Chippewas are not going to be ending their season quite yet, as they will be appearing in the postseason for the fourth time in the last five years, accepting a bid to play in the 2019 Roman College Basketball Invitational. For this first matchup, the Chippewas will face the DePaul on Wednesday as they are looking forward to continuing their season. For the Chippewas they enter this game with an overall record of 23-11 and coming off a semifinal loss to No. 1 seed Buffalo on Friday in the Mid-American Conference Tournament. Even though the team wished for more, they still have had an impressive season with their 23 wins as it is the most under head coach Keno Davis with the program.

Diving more into this new tournament, it holds 16 teams and games are played at campus sites. If the Chippewas win this game, they will move onto the next round on Monday March 25th. The Chippewas are scoring 82.6 points per game while they are allowing 76.2 points per game which is 290th in the NCAAB.
The DePaul Blue Demons will not be ending their basketball season quite yet as they have been selected as one of 16 teams to play in the 2019 Roman College Basketball Invitational and to host Central Michigan in the first round. With the home advantage the Blue Demons are looking to keep their winning ways alive as they enter this tournament with a 15-15 overall record and being 12-6 at home this year. For the season, they are being led by two of their strong seniors who are Eli Cain and Femi Olujobi. Eli leads the team with 18.8 points per game while Olujobi holds a scoring average of 13.0. With this berth, this is the first postseason appearance since the Blue Demons reached the quarterfinals of the 2007 NIT.

Even though the Blue Demons finished dead last in the conference in the regular season, they can still end with some momentum. The Blue Demons are scoring an average of 76.9 points per game while they are allowing 75.1 points per game which is 267th in the league.
- Chippewas are 6-1-1 ATS in their last 8 games following a straight up loss.
- Chippewas are 16-4-1 ATS in their last 21 games overall.
- Blue Demons are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games following a ATS loss.
- Blue Demons are 1-6 ATS in their last 7 Wednesday games.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
A bit surprise that the Blue Demons made their way into this tournament and even hosting this game as I’m loving the Chippewas right now. They are road warriors as they are 10-0-1 ATS in their last 11 road games as well as 9-1-1 ATS in their last 11 road games vs. a team with a home winning % of greater than .600.
Full-Game Total Pick
Both of these teams allowed over 80 points in their conference tournament per game as I do not see that magically getting fixed in this game. The Over is 4-0 in Chippewas last 4 road games as well as 4-0 in Chippewas last 4 non-conference games.
