The UCF Knights are looking to get their own historic run in the NCAA Tournament as they take on the VCU Rams on Friday. As for the Rams, they are looking to keep their winning ways alive.
The UCF Knights are looking to keep their historic season going as they finally earned the program’s first at-large berth to the tourney Sunday evening and will be the nine seed in the East Regional. With being the ninth seed, the Knights who come into this game with an overall record of 23-8. they will take on the VCU Rams who hold an overall record of 25-7. Adding onto this historic run, this will mark the Knights fifth NCAA Tournament appearance since joining the Division I ranks in 1984. One of the reasons why they got invited to this dance was due to winning seven of their last 10 games.

Coming into this high profile game, the Knights are averaging 72.1 points on 46.3 percent shooting. This new seed has also been the program’s highest since it was given the 7th seed back in 2014. The Knights were third in the conference with 13-5 conference record.
