Air Force Falcons vs. San Diego State Aztecs
College Football Week 7: Friday, October 12th 2018 9:00 PM EST TIME
It is an early matchup between these two teams as the Air Force Falcons will head on over to SDCCU Stadium to take on the San Diego State Aztecs. It was a historic Week 6 for the Falcons as they were able to beat Navy for the first time in the past years. Will that winning streak continue Friday?
First Start A Good One
The Air Force Falcons wanted to change up the tempo of the offense and they did so with starting D.J. Hammond who would get the first start of his college football career. Going up against a rival and team who has beaten the Falcons for the past three years, it was no easy task to walk in and take over the game. However, that is exactly what Hammond did as he would rush for three touchdowns and also throwing another one in the huge 35-7 win.

The Falcons were also great on the ground as running back Cole Fagan increased his rushing yard total on the season to 252 yards along with two touchdowns. Even though Fagan is the main man behind the QB, they have excellent depth where three other running backs have at least two touchdowns to their name. The Falcons have some momentum into this game, but they face a defense that will be very scary.
Powerful San Diego State
I’ve been watching this San Diego State team all season, and I knew an upset would be coming anytime soon. They have a powerful defense that is ranked nationally in College Football and can prove themselves almost to an NFL team as they play in the former Chargers San Diego stadium. The Aztecs come into this game with winning four straight games, with the recent game an upset victory over the Boise State Broncos. With the final score being 19-13, it was an early lead for the Aztecs which was led onto for the whole game.

The star of this game was Jordan Byrd who opened up the upset special with a 72-yard touchdown run that gave the Aztecs the early lead as the defense held on. It was all about the defense in this game as they forced four turnovers and did n0t allow the Broncos anywhere near the goal-line. The blue field simple was no match for the Aztecs on Saturday.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Here is the difference between these two teams. Even though they both have a solid defensive front, it is there offense that separates them. First the Aztecs have one of the best balanced offenses in the conference as they can win the game either running or throwing. As for the Falcons they can only run which was why they made the switch to a dual threat QB. With that balanced offense the Aztecs continue their dominance as they are 7-8 ATS taking on the Falcons.
Prediction: San Diego State Aztecs -10.0
Full-Game Total Pick
As stated above, the Falcons and Aztecs both have solid defenses and will keep this game low. The UNDER is also 6-1 in the last 7 meetings in San Diego State. Do not expect anything else from this game as it is a rough and tough battle which will be shown especially on this short week.
