The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
This is going to be a high scoring game. FAU has been preparing for this game for at least ten days and while there is such a thing as over-preparing I’m not sure that will be the case here. My biggest thing in this game is how in the world will Marshall stop Devin Singletary? Marshall does a tremendous job against the rush but Singletary is a special back and maybe Marshall slows him down a bit but they won’t stop him.
The other question is Isaiah Green; if he can’t go how in the heck does this Marshall offense contend with the FAU defense? FAU can’t stop anyone via the air so how does Alex Thomson handle his business in what is a big game? I don’t want to put my money on that so I won’t. Nor should you. Lay the points and roll with the Owls on Saturday!
Prediction: FAU -3
Full-Game Total Pick
There isn’t any reason for us not to believe this game won’t be a shootout. We have two high scoring teams who don’t seem to emphasize defense very much going at it in a Conference game that means something to both teams. FAU has has a while to prepare and Marshall is coming off a win over Old Dominion. Both teams in total allow more points between them than the total and they both score more than the total.
You should play the over but wait until and see what the public is doing with the number. You are already playing the over but it’s always nice to get a lower total whenever possible and with the total dropping nearly a point since I started writing this I suspect it will settle around 56 or so……..play the OVER on Saturday!!!!!!
Prediction: Over 59.5 Points
