Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Nebraska Cornhuskers
NCAA Football: Saturday, November 10th 2018 12:00 PM EST TIME
The Illinois Fighting Illini are looking to keep their winning streak going as they head into Nebraska to take on the Cornhuskers in the last weeks of the college football season. As for the Cornhuskers, they are hoping to keep their winning streak alive against the Illini as they have had recent success against them.
Fighting Until The End
The Illinois Fighting Illini have been fighting all season long as they have yet to give up on the season as it showed in their recent game against the Minnesota Golden Gophers. On the road facing their fifth straight loss, the Fighting Illini got a solid performance from their QB AJ Bush who used the option all night long for the 55-31 win. On the season those far, the dual-threat quarterback has thrown for 924 yards, 5 touchdowns, along with 5 interceptions this season. However, he can also use the ground game to his advantage as in his last game he was able to average 10 plus yards per carry as he totaled 127 rushing yards in the win.
Memorable Saturday at Memorial Stadium.

However even though the Illini have a solid quarterback option, they are a rush first team as they have had at least 200 rushing yards in every single game besides their matchup against the Purdue Boilermakers. Nobody has yet to stop them as running back Reggie Corbin has run the ball 105 times for 952 yards and 9 touchdowns this season.
The Nebraska Cornhuskers are having one of the most disappointing seasons in the past decade for this school as they simply started off in the rough. The Cornhuskers started off the year by losing six games as they were actually favored in three of them. With that in mind, the Cornhuskers are slowly turning their season around as they won two of the past three games with wins against Minnesota and B-CU. However in their recent game, they did not come close to the Ohio State Buckeyes as they fell to the #10 ranked team.
Saturday, we pay tribute to Memorial. We salute our military and honor our veterans.

However, there could be some bright lights for the future as the Cornhuskers defeated the Illini last season and have won the past four of five against them. Could the same happen on Saturday? They are going to need another strong performance from Quarterback Adrian Martinez who is having a great season even in this mess. He has thrown for 1922 yards, 12 touchdowns, and 6 interceptions this year. If the Cornhuskers want to win this game, they must air it out.
- Cornhuskers are 1-4-1 ATS vs. a team with a losing record.
- Cornhuskers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games after allowing more than 450 total yards in their previous game.
- Cornhuskers are 2-12-2 ATS in their last 16 games following an ATS win.
- Cornhuskers are 2-13-2 ATS in their last 17 home games.
- Cornhuskers are 0-3-1 ATS in their last 4 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
- Fighting Illini are 5-5 ATS in their last 10 road games.
The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
The spread is way too high for the Nebraska Cornhuskers. Yes, Nebraska has been able to turn their season around but they have yet to have a quality win against a quality team. The Cornhuskers have failed all season long as I’m not going to side with the team that lost six straight to kick off the season.
Prediction: Illinois +17
Full-Game Total Pick
Did you know that the Under is 5-0 in the last 5 meetings? With the Cornhuskers struggling on the offensive side of the ball without a consistent groove, they are not going to drop a lot of points. Only the Illini have a consistent running game and that should lead them to some success but not a lot of points.
