Wolverines Going For Ninth Consecutive Win
The Wolverines are coming off an impressive win over 14th ranked Penn State, giving them their third consecutive win over a ranked opponent. The win also means they will likely be one of the top four teams in the College Football Playoff rankings this week.

The Wolverines will be trying to keep their momentum going this week and win their ninth consecutive game when they face the struggling Scarlet Knights, who are still looking for their first win against a Power 5 team this season.
Michigan has been great on defense this season, holding opponents to 13.6 points per game, which is fifth in the country. They should be able to dominate a Rutgers team that is dead last in the country, averaging 14.7 points per game.
Offensively, the Wolverines are averaging 36.7 points per game, which is 27th. They have had a lot of success running the ball, averaging 217.9 yards per game. Karan Higdon leads the way with 963 yards and seven touchdowns.
With their running game being so potent, the Wolverines haven’t had to throw the ball as much. The team is averaging 200.6 passing yards per game, led by Shea Patterson, who has completed 67 percent of his passes for 1,667 yards, 14 touchdowns, and three interceptions.
If the Wolverines play like they have over their last eight games, they should be able to win this game comfortably.
Scarlet Knights Trying To Play Spoiler
The Scarlet Knights haven’t had much go right for them this season and don’t have much to play for, which is why they will try to ruin Michigan’s playoffs plans by trying to play spoiler this weekend. However, they will need to be at their best to have a chance to win this game.

Rutgers has struggled to move the ball this season, averaging 276.8 total yards per game. Freshman quarterback Artur Sitkowski has completed 49.8 percent of his passes for 1,100 yards, four touchdowns, and 15 interceptions. In his last game, he threw for 261 yards and one touchdown in their loss to Wisconsin. Even though he played well, he will need to be better to get the win over the Wolverines on Saturday.
Raheem Blackshear leads the Scarlet Knights with 437 rushing yards and two touchdowns, but he hasn’t gone over 40 yards in his last four games. They will also need a big game from him to have a chance in this game.
Defensively, the Scarlet Knights have their work cut out for them against Michigan, but if they can stop the Wolverines from running the ball successfully, they will give themselves a better chance of winning the game.

Full-Game Total Pick
The total has gone under in five of Michigan’s last six road games and in five of their last six road games against teams with losing home records. The total has also gone under in four of Rutgers’ last five games and in four of their last five games following an ATS win.
Prediction: Under 47
Half-Time Side Pick
The Wolverines will win the first half of this game because they are averaging 18.1 points per game in the first half this season while the Scarlet Knights are averaging 8.2 points per game. With the Wolverines holding opponents to 2.3 points in the first half of their last three games, they will likely shut Rutgers out in the first half of this game.
Prediction: Michigan Wolverines -22.5
Half-Time Total Bet
Rutgers likely won’t score in the first half of this game while the Wolverines will score a few touchdowns but not enough to go over the halftime total.
Prediction: Under 27.5
