The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
The way the Bears offense has struggled, they may need to win the turnover battle to come up with the victory on Sunday. The Panthers have been better in that department, tied for seventh in the NFL with a +3 turnover differential this season while the Bears are tied for 20th at -1. Carolina has also done a better job of protecting their quarterback this season. Both defenses have performed well, but Carolina has been a much better-balanced team offensively.
I will take Carolina to pull out a close game at home.
Prediction: Carolina Panthers -1.5
Full-Game Total Pick
The Bears have scored 20 points or less in three of their last four games, averaging 19.5 points during that stretch. The Panthers have scored 23 points or less in three of their previous four games.
On defense, Carolina has held opponents to 17.7 points over their last three games, and the Bears are giving up 19.3 points over their last four contests. The under has cashed in nine of the Bears last 12 games as a road underdog, and I that that trend will continue here.
Prediction: Under 44.5
