Oakland Raiders vs. Arizona Cardinals

Where: State Farm Stadium, Glendale, AZ

When: Sunday, November 18, 4:05 PM. ET.

Two of the teams fighting for the top pick in the 2019 NFL Draft will face off when they Oakland Raiders travel to Arizona to take on the Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.

Raiders Trying To Snap Five-Game Losing Streak

It is safe to say the second Jon Gruden era isn’t going as planned for the Raiders, who have only one win in their first nine games. The team will be trying to snap a five-game losing streak when they face the Cardinals, but at this point, some of their fans are hoping the team continues to lose so they will get the first pick in next year’s draft.

Oakland has struggled offensively this season, averaging 16.3 points per game, which is 30th I the league. Quarterback Derek Carr, who was considered one of the best young quarterbacks in the league a few years ago, hasn’t been able to get the offense going this season.

Carr has completed 71.5 percent of his passes for 2,441 yards, 10 touchdowns, and eight interceptions. The Raiders also haven’t been able to get their ground game going and have one of the worst running games in the league.

Marshawn Lynch leads the Raiders with 376 rushing yards and three touchdowns, while Doug Martin has rushed for 281 yards this season.

Defensively, Oakland is also one of the worst teams in the league, giving up 30.2 points per game, which is also 30th in the league. If they want to beat the Cardinals and get their second win of the season, they will need to play much better than they have in their past nine games.

Cardinals Going For Second Win In Last Three Games

If the Cardinals played the San Francisco 49ers 16 times this season, they would probably have the best record in the league because that is the only team they have been able to beat this season and the reason they have two wins. They will try to bounce back from their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs in their last game and get their first win of the season against a team other than the 49ers.

Arizona has struggled offensively as well, and the team is even worse than the Raiders, averaging 13.8 points per game, which is 31st in the league. Rookie quarterback Josh Rosen has completed 55 percent of his passes for 1,280 yards, six touchdowns, and eight interceptions.

Running back David Johnson has also struggled this season, rushing for 492 yards and six touchdowns. He also has 292 receiving yards and four touchdowns for the Cardinals this season.

Defensively, the Cardinals have played a little better and they are holding opponents to 25 points per game, which is 18th in the league. The team did a good job against the Kansas City Chiefs last week, holding the top-scoring offense in the league to 26 points. They will need another solid effort from their defense to get the win on Sunday afternoon.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.

Full-Game Side Bet

Despite their record, the Cardinals have played well against the spread, winning five of their last seven games and four of their last six games against teams with losing records. The Raiders have struggled against the spread, losing four of their last five games against teams with losing records and their last four games after an ATS loss.

Prediction: Arizona Cardinals -5

Full-Game Total Pick

The total has gone under in six of Oakland’s last seven road games and in 13 of the team’s last 16 games. The total has also gone under in Arizona’s last six games after scoring 15 points or less in their previous game and in four of the team’s last five home games against teams with losing road records.

Prediction: Under 40.5

Full-Game Prop Bet

The Raiders will fail to go over 17.5 points in this game because they are averaging 16.3 points per game and have scored nine total points in their last two games.

Prediction: Raiders – Total Points Under 17.5

Half-Time Side Pick

The Raiders will win the first half of this game because they have played better than the Cardinals in the first half. Oakland is averaging 6.7 points per game in the first half of its last three games while Arizona is averaging 4.3 points. The Raiders have also done a better job on the defensive end giving up 13.3 points in the first half of their last three games while the Cardinals are allowing 20 points per game.

Prediction: Oakland Raiders +3

Half-Time Total Bet

The Raiders and Cardinals are averaging 11 combined points in the first half of their last three games and will likely fall short of the total in this game.

Prediction: Under 20.5

Half-Time Prop Prediction

There won’t be a lot of scoring in this game because both offenses are pretty bad. However, the Cardinals should be able to score the first points in the game because they are averaging 11 points in the first quarter of their last three games while the Raiders are averaging 5.7 points per game.

Prediction: Raiders vs Cardinals – Team to Score First Arizona -145
