We have an AFC East matchup for Sunday when the Buffalo Bills travel to Miami to play the Dolphins at Hard Rock Stadium. Buffalo opened its season with a solid home win over the New York Jets and Miami was defeated on the road by the New England Patriots. The Bills defeated the Dolphins in both of their 2019 meetings and this would be as good a chance as any for Miami to exact a bit of revenge.
The Bills have gone from -3.5 up to -5.5 while snatching up 76% of the bets.
The OU Line has gone from 43 down to 42, with the Under grabbing 53% of the bets.
Gametime Weather: Scattered thunderstorms with temps around 90.
Bills Win Season OpenerBuffalo opened its season in high fashion with a 27-17 home win over AFC East rival New York Jets. The Bills racked up 404 total yards of offense and benefitted from 21 first-half points before holding off an inspired albeit desperate Jets second-half surge to wrap up their first victory of the season.
Bills quarterback Josh Allen completed 71 percent of his passes for 312 yards on 33-of-46 passing and a pair of touchdowns. Allen didn’t throw an interception and rushed for an additional 57 yards on 14 carries with one trip to the end zone. Eight receivers hauled in Allen passes and wideout Stefon Diggs led the way, catching eight of nine passes for 86 yards while wideouts John Brown and Zack Moss each caught touchdown strikes from Allen.
Buffalo rushed for just 98 yards and aside from Allen, running back Devin Singletary scampered for 30 yards on nine carries.
The Bills defense allowed just 254 total yards Sunday; 202 yards via the air and just 52 rushing yards. Buffalo recorded three sacks and linebacker Matt Milano picked off a pass to lead a very solid Bills defense. Milano is listed as out for Sunday's game due to a hamstring injury.

Miami Suffers Road LossMiami didn’t get the start that they wanted a took a tough road loss to the New England Patriots by a score of 21-11. The Dolphins offense sputtered and recorded a total of 269 yards and the defense allowed 357 yards. Miami also committed three costly turnovers and its back to the drawing board for the Dolphins.
Dolphins quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick had a rough afternoon, completing 20-30 passes for 191 passing yards, zero touchdowns but threw three costly interceptions. Fitzpatrick scrambled for an additional 18 yards on five attempts. Wideout Devante Parker caught all four of his targets for 47 receiving yards but left the game in the second half and his status is up in the air for Sunday’s tilt. Tight end Mike Gesicki hauled in three balls for 30 yards and wide receiver Preston Williams caught two balls for 41 yards.
The Miami defense allowed 357 total yards of offense on 140 passing yards and 217 rushing yards. The Dolphins did record two sacks including a fumble recovery but failed to pick off any Cam Newton passes.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Vegas has the Bills as a three-point road favorite that has now moved to 5.5 points and that seems like a good number for a team with a solid offense up against a defense that had trouble containing a mobile quarterback like Newton. Allen not only throws the ball efficiently but he’s a very capable rusher and Miami will have trouble keeping him from going nuts. The Dolphins didn’t allow many passing yards but that had more to do with the game flow and the Patriots eating the clock in the second half than anything else. Fitzpatrick looked shaky for most of the afternoon and he’s up against a pretty good Bills defense and possibly missing Parker is going to hurt. I will take the Bills to defeat the Dolphins in this contest.
Prediction: Bills -5.5
Full-Game Total Pick
Vegas set the total at 43 points and that number is now at 41 points. Both meetings last season exceeded 50 points and I suspect this game will be more of the same. Fitzpatrick is likely going to bounce back from his miserable opening day and while he might miss Parker, he still has weapons to throw to that should at least find the end zone a couple of times if not more. The Bills offense looked very efficient and are up against a soft defense that they will be able to exploit. I will play the OVER in this contest.
Prediction: Over 42
