The Green Bay Packers will be going for their second consecutive win when they face the Detroit Lions, who are looking for their first win of the season, on Sunday afternoon.

Last season, the Packers won both games, but by a combined four points as the Lions covered each contest.

Line Movements

The line has stayed true at Green Bay -6 all week, despite the Packers snatching up 75% of the bets.

The OU Line has gone from 46 up to 50, and that is consistent with the fact that the Over has grabbed 80% of the bets.

Gametime Weather: Sunny with temps in the mid-60s.

Lions Trying To Bounce Back From Loss

The Lions looked like they were on their way to the win in their last game, but they collapsed in the fourth quarter giving up 21 points, which was enough to get Chicago the win. They still had a chance to win in the last seconds, but rookie running back D'Andre Swift, who was wide open in the end zone, dropped a perfect pass from Matthew Stafford. They will try to bounce back from the loss with a win over the Packers on Sunday.

Detroit did not look very good offensively in its season opener, scoring 23 points in the loss. They passed for 288 yards and rushed for 138.

Stafford completed 24 of 42 passes for 297 yards, one touchdown, and one interception. In his first game with the team, veteran back Adrian Peterson rushed for 93 yards on 14 carries, while Danny Amendola had five catches for 81 yards.

Defensively, the Lions looked good for three quarters, then fell apart and gave up 21 points in the final quarter. With the Packers scoring 43 points in their first game, the Lions will have to play better than they did if they want to get the win.

On the injury front, Lions star receiver Kenny Golladay will miss the game due to a hamstring injury. The are also banged up in the secondary with cornerback Desmond Trufant (hamstring) out.

Detroit’s Injury Report

Questionable: DB Darryl Roberts, DB C.J. Moore

Doubtful: OT Halapoulivaati Vaitai

Out: DT Nick Williams, OG Joe Dahl, WR Kenny Golladay, TE Hunter Bryant, CB Desmond Trufant, CB Justin Coleman, DB Mike Ford, and RB Bo Scarbrough

Packers Going For Third Consecutive Win Over Lions

The Packers have dominated their series with the Lions in recent years and have won the last two games between the two teams. They will be going for their third consecutive win over the Lions and their second win in a row when they play on Sunday.

Green Bay looked great offensively in their last game, finishing with 43 points. They passed for 364 yards and rushed for 158 yards in the win.

Aaron Rodgers completed 32 of 44 passes for 364 yards and four touchdowns. Aaron Jones rushed for 66 yards and one touchdown, while Davante Adams had 14 catches for 156 yards and two touchdowns. They did lose starting guard Lane Taylor to a knee injury and he's out for the season.

Defensively, the Packers didn’t look very good, giving up 34 points. They’ve given up 24.3 points per game in their last three games against the Lions and will need to play better if they want to beat their rivals on Sunday.

Green Bay’s Injury Report

Questionable: TE Josiah Deguara, DB Raven Greene, OG Billy Turner, DE Montravius Adams, and C Lucas Patrick

Out: OT Lane Taylor, WR Equanimeous St. Brown, DT Kenny Clark, and LB Randy Ramsey

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.

Full-Game Side Bet
Rating:

Green Bay will win this game comfortably. The Lions struggled defensively in their last game, especially against the run, and will have a hard time slowing down the Packers, who rushed for 158 yards and one touchdown in their last game. Even though they managed to frustrate Mitch Trubisky for most of the game, they struggled to slow him down in the fourth quarter and will have their hands full with Rodgers, who threw for 364 yards and four touchdowns against the Vikings.

Prediction: Green Bay Packers -6

Full-Game Total Pick
Rating:

The Packers picked up 43 points on the road against the Vikings, but don’t expect a repeat against the Lions, who gave up 27 points in their last game because the Packers haven’t scored more than 23 points in their last six games against Detroit. The Lions scored 23 points in their last game, but they will score more against the Packers because they have played well on the road against Green Bay in recent years and are averaging 25.6 points per game in their last five trips to Lambeau.

Prediction: Over 50

Half-Time Side Pick
Rating:

The Packers will win the first half of this game because they have outplayed the Lions in the first half of their games, averaging 22 points per game, while the Lions average 13 points per game.

Prediction: Green Bay Packers

Half-Time Total Bet
Rating:

The Lions and Packers are averaging 35 combined points per game in the first half of their games and will go over the first half total in this game if they maintain their current scoring pace.
