We have a terrific NFC inter-division matchup to consider for Sunday when the 1-1 Dallas Cowboys meet the 2-0 Seattle Seahawks for a game of tackle football without fans in the stands. Dallas is coming off a dramatic come from behind victory over the Atlanta Falcons and Seattle snuck past a determined New England Patriots side by a score of 35-30. Can Dallas knock Seattle off of their undefeated throne?
This line has moved a bit in favor of the home team. Despite a lack of the 12th man in the Emerald City, the Seahawks have gone from 3.5-point favorites to five-point favorites in this contest. In a near split, 51 percent of the bets against the spread are taking the Cowboys with the points.
The total for this game has moved a bit as well. After opening at 55.5 points, the total has now moved up to 57 points for this contest. That doesn't seem to be enough to deter bettors as 82 percent of the bets on the total are backing the over here.
Game-time Weather: Temperature at kickoff is expected to be in the low-60s and rise to the mid-60s during the game. There will be sunny skies with, somewhat surprisingly, no rain in the forecast. Winds will be minimal, coming out of the north between five and 10 miles per hour in this contest.
Cowboys Get Lucky Against AtlantaDallas (1-1) had luck on its side with a last-second 40-39 victory over the Atlanta Falcons in a game that the Cowboys failed to cover a 5.5 spread. After a successful onside kick, the Cowboys ran down the clock and kicker Greg Zuerlein booted a 46-yard field goal to give Dallas its first victory of the season.
Quarterback Dak Prescott is the team’s offensive leader and he’s thrown for 716 passing yards on 59-86 passing with two touchdowns and has failed to throw an interception this season. He’s been sacked four times and has scampered for 185 additional yards and two touchdowns.
Three receivers have at least 100 receiving yards; Amari Cooper leads the club with 16 receptions for 181 yards, rookie CeeDee Lamb has 11 catches for 165 yards and Michael Gallup has five receptions for 108 yards and none of them has caught a touchdown pass this season.
Ezekiel Elliot leads the backfield with 185 rushing yards on 44 attempts with two touchdowns including an additional nine receptions for 64 yards and a scoring strike.
The Cowboys defense allows 401 total yards of offense per game; 268 passing and 133 rushing yards are how Dallas opponents allow an average of 29.5 points per game. Dallas has recorded two sacks with just one interception this season.

Seattle Outlasts New EnglandSeattle moved to 2-0 on the season with a solid, 35-30 home victory over the New England Patriots and the Seahawks covered the four-point spread. The Seattle defense stopped Patriots quarterback Cam Newton at the goal line in the waning seconds to seal their second win of the season.
Quarterback Russell Wilson is having another solid season; the veteran signal-caller has thrown for 630 yards on 52-63 passing with nine touchdowns, one interception and has been sacked five times with an additional 68 rushing yards this season.
Two receivers have over 100 receiving yards this season; DK Metcalf has eight catches for 187 yards and a pair of scores and Tyler Lockett has 15 receptions for 159 yards and a touchdown to lead the receiving corps.
Running back Chris Carson leads all Seahawks rushers with 93 yards on 23 attempts and has hauled in all nine of his targets for 81 yards and three touchdowns this season.
Seattle allows a league-worst 485 yards of offense per game on 415.5 passing yards 69.5 rushing yards per game and accounts for the 27.5 points allowed per game. The defense has recorded three sacks with two interceptions this season.

The Bottom Line What to bet on this game.
Full-Game Side Bet
Seattle opened as three-point favorites and that line has moved to five points. That sounds about right to me and I suspect the Seahawks will easily cover the spread. Prescott is a game manager and his top three receivers have yet to catch a touchdown pass as the offense revolves around Elliot and a bunch of luck. Seattle allows the second-fewest rushing yards per game and that is going to force Prescott to throw the ball against a Seattle offense allowing 415 passing yards per game. Prescott won’t be able to match this and Wilson and his talented offense will outscore Dallas. I will take Seattle to cover the spread in this contest.
Prediction: Seattle -5
Full-Game Total Pick
Vegas posted a total of 55 points and that number is too low for two teams that are comfortable trying to outscore its opponents. This is going to be a back and forth game with very little defense and two quarterbacks that will have plenty of time to throw the ball against soft rushing defenses. Seattle allows big numbers via the air and that is going to give the Cowboys plenty of opportunities to score and we already know that Seattle can put up crooked numbers against anyone. I will play the OVER in this contest.
Prediction: Over 57
