Matt Olson attempts extend a seven-game hitting streak today as the Braves host lefty David Peterson and the Mets for the first time this season.

We normally wouldn’t suggest a lefty vs lefty matchup for a home run, but Olson sports solid splits against Peterson going 4-16 with all four hits being home runs.

Peterson has actually been stupendous this season allowing just four home runs in 79.2 innings but three of those have come in 31 innings pitched on the road.

Last season against the Braves Peterson allowed four earned runs including a home run in five innings pitched with Olson slugging .500 against the Mets last season as well.

The Braves first baseman sports a .507 slugging percentage against lefties this season compared to a .458 slugging percentage against righties so let’s go with Olson to hit a home run today at +470.

Other Braves hitters to consider for a home run who have good splits against Peterson includes Ronald Acuna Jr. (+450) and Austin Riley (+540).

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Jeremy Pena (HOU) +600

So far this season Jeremy Pena has been putting together the best of his short career as the Athletics host the Astros for the second game of their series tonight.

The Astros shortstop went 0-4 in last nights game but is still batting .379 for the month although he doesn’t have a home run yet after hitting five of them in May.

JP Sears takes the mound for the Athletics tonight in Sacramento who is tied for fourth in the MLB in home runs given up this season with 15 and nine of those coming at home in 24 innings pitched.

Pena has solid splits against Sears going 7-23 all time with a home run against him and is slugging .559 against lefties this season compared to .467 against righties.

We get solid odds at +600 for Pena to smack his tenth home run of the season and two other hitters who can hit a home run tonight against the Athletics are Christian Walker (+360) and Jose Altuve (+520).
